Two flown covers, both addressed to Harold Ickes, Secretary of the Interior, first large-size with albino embossed corner card of the Postmaster General and signed at top right by James A. Farley, PMG in his ubiquitous green ink fashion, personal letter dated Oct. 16, 1933 to Ickes accompanies, also Farley signed in green, Farley explains the issue and its design, in closing he says "It is our sincere hope that the forthcoming flight and this special stamp will serve to strengthen the bond of friendship between the two Nations" (if he only knew), other cover bears block of four tied by New York Oct. 4 third day machine and handstamp circular datestamps, usual cachets, Fine-Very Fine, interesting lot

Air Post Specialized Collection. Many hundreds of stamps and covers in over twelve volumes, begins with a few Pioneer Flight covers, then covers all Air Post Issues from the 1926-27 Maps through the 1941 Transport less 1930 and 1933 Zeppelins with the following exceptions ($2.60 "Perelli" forgery die proof, P.F. Certificate, and two single C18's), otherwise all C7-C12, C16-C17, C19-C31 collected in like fashion with blocks, plate blocks, and all manner of covers, also three volumes of CAM and FAM covers and one volume of miscellaneous U.S. and Foreign Flight covers, also a huge quantity of clippings, notes and catalogs interspersed with the stamps and covers, Fine-Very Fine, an incredible lot that defies description and really has to be viewed to appreciate the full flavor of what is being offered, we doubt we have ever offered a more comprehensive collection of 1926-44 United States Air Post issues
