10c Yellow Green (68). 11 covers, wonderful range of uses and markings, mostly foreign destinations, couple mixed frankings, incl. pair to Cuba, two singles originating from Cuba and forwarded to Mass., single used with No. 146 to Hawaii, another single used to Hawaii, pair to France, pair and single to Furth (Bavaria), single to Bremen, pair on pre-printed "Per Steamer Via Bremen or Hamburg" to Germany, pair used with No. 63 to Italy, single with fancy star in circle cancel to Canada West, single on 10c entire paying double rate to San Francisco, couple with top flaps missing or other small flaws, an attractive and Very Fine group which would make a choice addition to an 1861 Issue or foreign mails collection, each cover acquired as an individual lot in sales past

30c Orange (71). Horizontal pair and single, centered to top, cancelled by multi-bar Shield fancy cancel (tied thru perfs), light strike of red "New York Paid ? May 12" credit datestamp on blue folded 1867 cover to Palermo, Sicily, red crayon "36" credit crossed out and re-credited "54", blurry strike of French transit datestamp and red "PD" boxed handstamps, transit and receiving backstamps, light file folds, Fine, an unusual French mail use, the New York "54" indicates a credit for the triple 21c rate, the sender perhaps intended to overpay the cover for a quadruple rate (84c) but ended up overpaying the triple rate by 27c
