In our opinion, the catalogue value for this stamp is not commensurate with its rarity. There was only one printing of the 6c of this series, and only 9,705 stamps were issued. The following statistics for other rare values of the set proves our point: 36c (PR97)--9,935 issued--cat. $50,000; 96c (PR99)--7,827 issued--cat. $52,500; $3.00 (PR100)--9,215 issued--cat. $60,000; $6.00 (PR101)--5,250 issued--cat. $60,000. In comparison, the 6c, with just 9,705 issued, has a catalogue value of only $3,750.
