Sale 976, Lot 2385, Canal ZoneCANAL ZONE, 1920, 2c Orange Vermilion & Black (47). Original gum, barely hinged, radiant color and exceptionally well centered, clear overprint

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB AND RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENTESIMOS ORANGE VERMILION AND BLACK.

The rarity of this stamp in unused condition is reflected by the difference in Scott Catalogue values of $3,250.00 unused versus $100.00 used. This is easily the finest of only ten unused examples we have offered in the last 25 years.

With 1999 and 2009 P.F. certificate
