3c Playing Cards, Imperforate (R17a). Large margins all around, deep rich color, unusual slightly dry printing, neat "April" manuscript cancelEXTREMELY FINE. A RARE SOUND EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT IMPERFORATE PLAYING CARDS WITH LARGE MARGINS ALL AROUND. ONE OF THE RAREST FIRST ISSUE REVENUE STAMPS, ESPECIALLY IN SOUND FOUR-MARGIN CONDITION.
This issue is exceedingly difficult to find in sound condition. The majority have faults to a lesser or greater degree, or smaller margins than this example possesses.
With 1986 and 2003 P.F. certificates
$10.00 Probate of Will, Imperforate (R96a). Large margins all around, intense shade and impression, unobtrusive February 21, 1863 manuscript cancelEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THE $10.00 PROBATE OF WILL IMPERFORATE ISSUE.
Evidence points to an imperforate supply of 856, as eleven sheets (792 others) were returned for perforating. They were first delivered Dec. 18, 1862, so this is an early use. It is rare with such large margins in sound condition.

$3.50 Blue & Black, Second Issue (R126). Bright colors, trace of blue cancel across Washington's face (almost appears unused), Fine, with 2016 P.F. certificate
60c Orange & Black, Third Issue (R142). Original gum, small h.r., vivid color, wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2000 P.F. certificate, most unused Revenue stamps have no gum and are actually used but uncancelled, the example offered here with original gum is the exception to the rule, unlisted in Scott as unused, Scott Retail as used
$500.00 Carmine & Lake (R180). Without gum as issued, serial no. 434, ample to large margins, bright colors, Very Fine, a very scarce stamp in unused condition, the only other two examples listed in Power Search realized $3,000 and $3,500 hammer
$500.00 Blue, Silver Tax (RG22). Serial no. 41862, rich color on bright paper, well-proportioned margins, violet handstamp cancel neatly struck at top and trace of second cancel in perfs at bottom, just the faintest trace of a natural wrinkle, Very Fine and choice
$30.00 Gray, Series 1944 Without Ovpt., Silver Tax (RG127). Serial no. 2697, without gum as issued, bright color, Very Fine
