Single Scott National album with many better stamps infrequently seen in collection lots, largely used thru the Bank Notes and then unused starting with 1890 issue, highlights are too numerous to list exhaustively but include Nos. 9X1, 10X1, 1-2, 3-4, 8A, 12, 13-16, 18, 27-28, 30 (unused), 31, 37 (unused), 40, 56, 63b (unused), 67-72, 75-78, E and F Grills complete, 102, 112-122 Pictorials, 123 and 128-129 (unused), Bank Notes include complete grills less the 24c, 166 original gum, 186 original gum, 188 original gum, Columbians complete unused except $5.00 used, 1894-98 Bureaus complete including Nos. 261-261A original gum, 262 no gum, 263 original gum, Trans-Mississippi complete unused except couple lower values used, $1.00-$2.00 original gum, extensive Washington-Franklins including No. 449, later issues largely complete, good Back-of-Book including C13-C15 plus C13 used, also C13-C15 on a single flow cover and C.S.A. U.S. Unused Collection, 1851-1991. Extensive collection mounted on hingeless album pages, all are apparently unused but some could be cleaned, highlights include Nos. 7, 17, 30, 39, 67, 68-69, 76, 78, 95, 113, 117, 119, 121, 128, 149, 151, later Bank Notes including 1890 complete, Columbians to 30c, 260 imprint and plate no. strip, other 1894-98 Bureau issues to 30c, Trans-Mississippi issue complete, 1902 issue to $2.00 (missing $1.00), rather extensive Washington-Franklins including No. 505 error in block of nine, later issues largely complete, Back-of-Book is also extensive with lots of graded certs and C13-C15, gum status spans the range from original gum to no gum and regummed, faults to be expected on some of the better stamps, overall a valuable and seldom-seen intact unused collection with enormous catalogue value, viewing recommended, more than 60 certificates accompany, though about 15 of these are from sources other than the P.F. and P.S.E. and should not be relied upon, see our website PDF
U.S. Collection, 1845-1940. In a Scott album, mostly used, the trend of the collection is the lesser cataloging stamps are in Fine-Very Fine condition, while the higher cataloging stamps have Fine-Very Fine appearance but with small faults (though there are some higher cataloging stamps that are sound), the 19th Century features several stamps cataloging in the high hundreds of dollars or over $1,000, grilled issues are particularly strong and even includes No. 142 (repaired with corner added), Commemorative complete, including an extra $2.00 Trans-Mississippi, 20th Century well-filled, the Graf Zeppelin issue is represented by six stamp on three flown covers or cards, Postage Dues, Offices in China complete, strong Officials, Newspaper Stamps, Hunting Permit stamps (which go to 1999), Confederate States, and more, sprinkled throughout are some extras, such as postal counterfeits, as previously mentioned the higher cataloging stamps are in mixed condition, though the collector generally acquired well-centered stamps with attractive appearance, 36 certificates accompany, see our website PDF for a scan of the certificates

U.S. 1847-1940 Collection Offered Intact. Starts with the 1847 Issue, Regular Issues go to 1938, Commemoratives to 1940, Hunting Permit stamps to 2000, on album pages, 1847-75 Issues mostly used and contain some high cataloguing stamp, but the quality is mixed, from about 1879 onward the collection becomes mostly unused and the condition improves, particularly in the 20th Century with a strong showing of Washington-Franklins, including coils, also Air Post (including the Graf Zeppelin set), Postage Dues, Officials and Newspaper stamps, 52 certificates accompany, only four of which mention any faults at all, a valuable and highly saleable collection
U.S. Collection, 1851-1998. Album pages of unused and used stamps, including used Nos. 12, 14, 15, 29, 33, 37, 67-72, 75-78, some nice grills, 112-122, nice group of Bank Notes, unused including 212-217, 219-227, 229 with 220a and 220c, 238, 239, 276, 290- 291, 309-310, 326, 397-403, good selection of Washington-Franklins including coils, 630, 658-679, strong group of Vending and Affixing Machine perforations, booklet panes including 1c A.E.F., Special Delivery with E1 and E3, Parcel Post to 75c, Postage Dues, K1-K18, Hunting Permits from RW1 to 1994, few other better such as bottom double plate block of 295, 1908 Washington large die trial color proofs (ex Livingston), some faults but overall appear Fine-Very Fine, a comprehensive collection worth close examination

Three volumes of mostly unused, including unused Nos. 230-245, 284, 285-293, 294-299, 310, 315, 323-330, 339-341, 369, 397-404, 479-480, 523, 524, 647, 551-573, 579, 658-679, Air Post including C1-C6, C13-C15, also Special Delivery with E1, E3-E4, Q1-Q12, RW1-RW34, some other better, some Mint N.H., some original gum, some regummed, few faults but condition better than normally seen, overall Fine-Very Fine with a few Extremely Fine
U.S. Collection. On various album pages, 19th Century mostly used, with a high total catalogue value, Columbian and Trans-Mississippi sets complete, 20th Century is more unused, with duplication including shades, Back-of-Book including the Graf Zeppelin set and Offices in China complete, also a complete run of Hunting Permit stamps to 2013, mixed condition, some of the 20th Century is Fine-Very Fine, the total catalogue value should be quite high
19th Century Collection Balance, 1847-1901. Extensive collection of stamps hinged on Scott National album pages, strong coverage with primarily used stamps through the early Bank Notes and then unused with largely original gum up to the Pan-Americans, numerous highlights including used Nos. 2, 10-10A, 12, 17, 18, 20, 25-25A, 28-29, 30A, 36-38, 64, 67-72, 75-78, E and F Grills about two-thirds complete, 1869 Pictorials to 30c, early Bank Notes including some grilled such as No. 141, unused including Nos. 30, 35, 40, 42, 102, 188, 211B, 215-218, 219-229, Columbians to 30c, 1894-98 Bureau Issues to 50c plus one $1.00, Trans-Mississippi to 50c, Pan-Americans complete, condition is a bit mixed with varying degrees of faults and some sound, overall a strong collection balance, approximately 40 certificates accompany though many of these are not P.F. or P.S.E., see our website PDF for a complete scan of stamps and certificates
Dealer Certified Stock. More than 120 items on individual black stock cards, the majority with a certificate, mostly stamps but a few covers are present too, many better items including Nos. 1, 67, 78P2, 85, 85B, 119, 135A, 138A on cover, two No. 242 used, 291 original gum, two No. 292 including original gum, 293 used, C13-C14 used (two each), many others including some graded, condition is quite mixed with faults to be expected — which in many cases are helpfully enumerated on the certificates, overall a solid stock with many useful stamps, viewing recommended
U.S. Collection, 1847-1964. In three Scott Platinum albums, 19th Century mostly used, with many stamps cataloguing hundred of dollars each, 20th Century mainly unused, with a nice array of Washington-Franklins including coils, Air Post including the Graf Zeppelin set, various other Back-of-Book including Hunting Permit stamps (which go to 2008), mixed condition, much of the 20th Century is Fine-Very Fine, eight certificates accompany
U.S. Collection, 1847-20th Century. Two hingeless Lighthouse albums with slipcovers of unused and used stamps, including a few essays, used Nos. 1, 31-33, 67, 70d, K16, unused including Nos. 253-260, 279-283, 289-290, 298, 315 pair, 323-330, 523, 524, 547, 551-573 with additional block of the $5.00, nice group of Washington-Franklins to $1.00, some Back-of-Book such as Air Post with C1-C6 with few shifted vignettes of C3, C13-C15, Newspapers and Periodicals, K1-K15, Postage Dues including J1-J7, Hunting Permits including RW1, some Officials, Q1-Q12, some other better, some faults, many Fine-Very Fine, an attractive collection
U.S. Collection, 1847-1999. In a Scott hingeless album, mostly used to 1920, and largely unused after that, some higher cataloguing stamps, such as No. 1, 2, 12, 67, etc., unused $2.00 and $3.00 Columbian, many medium priced stamps throughout, including Washington-Franklin coils, very well-filled from 1920 onward, including the White Plains sheet, modern issues just about complete, also a second album of more modest value, but does contain another White Plain sheet and other useful stamps, and a few interesting covers, mixed condition, particularly on the early issues, quality gets better in the 20th Century, and the modern issues are Mint N.H.
U.S. Collection, 1851-1938. Scott National album with mostly used stamps hinged on pages, a few 1851-67, picks up steam with the Bank Notes to 90c values, some grills including No. 143, 1894-98 Bureaus complete on pages but unchecked for watermarks, 1902 Issue complete, Washington-Franklins including a few unused such as No. 467 double error in a block of twelve (no gum), also No. 505 single with original gum, Back-of-Book including mostly complete Postage Dues, with J58 and J59, Offices in China complete unused, Officials largely complete with some unused, Newspapers & Periodicals with a mix of used and mostly unused — rather extensive including most of the large format issues and strong coverage of other issues (this is probably the most valuable part of the collection), mixed condition and centering, overall Fine and attractive collection worth review

Lindner hingeless album with unused stamps, including Nos. 300-308, 323-327, 328-330, 331-341, 343-347 pairs, 367-373, 374-379, 382, 397-404, 422, 424-439, 461, 468-474, 524, 532 pair, 547, 551-573, 579, 595, 658-679, nice group of coils, some Air Post such as C1-C6, ends around 1934, many Mint N.H. or appear so, overall fresh and Fine-Very Fine, an attractive collection, several with certificates, see our website PDF
20th Century Balance, 1902-99. Original-gum stamps hinged on Scott National album pages, starting with 1902 Issue to the $2.00, Commemoratives including Louisiana Purchase, Jamestown and Panama-Pacific Issues complete, strength in Washington-Franklins which are largely complete less the rare stamps and some high-denomination, includes Perf 12 coils which are not counted in our estimate but may yield some genuine, 1c-2c Bluish, sheet stamps to $5.00, 1922 and issues to 1932 also largely complete less the rarities, White Plains sheet and Kansas-Nebraska set, plus two albums of face up to 1999, overall nice condition though there will be no Mint N.H. since all stamps are hinged on the pages, Very Fine or appear so, approximately ten certificates accompany, see our website PDF for a complete scan of the earlier stamps stamps and certificates
U.S. Unused Collection, 1910-74. Scott National album with mostly Mint N.H. stamps, begins in Washington-Franklin period with coils, White Plains sheet, most of Kansas-Nebraska issue, 1930s-70s issues, Air Post including C1-C6 and C13-C15 (Mint N.H., $1.30 natural gum creases), others, fresh and Very Fine collection
U.S. Balance and Plate Blocks. Old-time mostly mint collection on loose Scott pages, somewhat sparse in the 19th Century but then nicely filled to the 1950s, we note better including Nos. 35, 68, 229, Columbians complete to the $1.00 plus $3.00 and $4.00, 277, Trans-Mississippi to the 50c, Pan-American and Pan-Pacific complete, Jamestown in blocks of four, 369, useful Washington-Franklins to the $1.00 values, two White Plains sheets, Kansas-Nebraska complete, 1053 plate block, Back-of-Book including C1-C6 in blocks of four, C18 plate no. block, F1 block of four with plate no., and small group of Ducks including plate blocks, fairly complete for plate blocks from the 1940s-50s, generally Fine-Very Fine, most stamps encased in "coffin" mounts and some falling off pages but with a bit of work this will prove a useful lot
U.S. Commemorative Blocks Balance, 1893-1940. Extensive collection of blocks on album pages, original gum with a surprising amount of Mint N.H. though plenty of the earlier blocks or portions thereof are hinged, begins with Columbians including 1c-2c, 4c, 10c, 15c and 30c, Pan-Americans complete less the 5c including 4c block of six with plate no. and most of imprint (not a true plate block), some of those Mint N.H., 10c appear Mint N.H. but perf strengthening knocks it out of that category, 1909 Commemoratives including No. 369 top selvage block, Jamestown complete including 1c plate block of six, Pan-Americans including No. 400, later commemoratives include No. 537 plate block, two White Plains sheets, Kansas ovpts. complete and apparently Mint N.H., Nebraska ovpts. complete hinged, Back-of-Book including C18 and several later Special Delivery, some small faults may be found but overall this is an attractive collection with many useful blocks
Used Collection, 1851-1920. Old-time collection balance on handmade pages, begins with No. 7 with red cancel but picks up with the 1861 issue with shade varieties, 2c Black Jack cancellation study, 1c Bank Note color study, Columbians to the 50c, attractive Washington-Franklins including coils, each stamp selected for its cancel resulting in a large number of attractive and desirable items, mostly Very Fine appearance, owner's Scott catalogue value of $9,200 undersells how much time it would take to assemble a collection such as this today
U.S. Collection, 1851-1975. Single album with mix of used and unused stamps, a few 1851-69 issues, Columbians with unused 30c and 50c, Trans-Mississippi with unused 50c, Pan-Americans unused, Nos. 311-313 used, later issues with nothing particularly valuable, overall Fine-Very Fine
U.S. Collection, 1919-85. Stamps mounted in a Lighthouse album, begins with 1919 and good coverage from there forward, original gum and spot checks showed that this should be nearly all Mint N.H., includes 1922 Issue, White Plains sheet, most of Kansas-Nebraska issues, Presidentials, Regular Issues thru 1950's, Back-of-Book including Air Post with C14 (Mint N.H.), very fresh and choice condition, Very Fine collection
U.S. Collection, 1893-1974. Mostly original gum collection in Scott Hingeless National album, begins with Columbians less the 3c and $3 (few no gum/regummed), 50c and $1.00 Trans-Mississippi, then sparse through the early 20th Century, fairly complete from 1936 to 1974, some Back-of-Book including C1-C6, many empty pages but what's here is generally fresh and Fine-Very Fine, owner's Scott value a little over $10,000
U.S. Blocks Collection, 1893-1930. Original-gum blocks of mostly four mounted on album pages, begins with Columbian issue 1c-10c and 30c, Pan-Americans complete, from there the selection is a bit random with Farley imperfs showing various positions, some other 1920s-30s, White Plains sheet, J88-J104 Postage Due, also a set of 1857 plate proofs on card, nice condition and Very Fine, see our website PDF for highlights
Stamp Balances from the Champagne Stock. Eclectic group of collections and stocks acquired by Champagne over the course of decades, we note everything from a 2c Red cancellation study, better used postage dues, QE2 complete sheet, booklet panes, specialized Bank Note group, Ducks including plate blocks, plus a significant number of priced stock cards and stock pages, close inspection highly recommended
U.S. Singles Collection, 1847-1931. Mounted on album pages, mostly unused stamps with some used, begins with Nos. 2 used (clear 2007 A.P.S. certificate), 39 unused (tiny repair), 122 used, Columbians thru 50c as well as $3.00-$5.00, these mostly original gum with some lower values Mint N.H., the dollar values disturbed gum or regummed, Trans-Mississippi to 10c with some Mint N.H., also $1.00 (no gum), Pan-American and Louisiana Purchase complete with good amount Mint N.H., few others and then skips ahead to Kansas-Nebraska original gum, some later issues, Air Post with C1-C6 apparently Mint N.H., some used Officials and also some unrelated foreign postal cards, mixed condition, some useful and better Scott numbers present
Dealer Stock. Small carton of unused and used stamps and a nice group of proofs, including complete set of Atlanta Trial Color proofs for all four colors for the Newspapers and Periodicals issue (PR9TC4-PC32TC4, cats $5,160), nice group of Revenues, several unused Columbian Exposition souvenir postal cards, few better stamps such as 373 plate block, 547, outstanding group of Philadelphia Bank Note Co. essays for Bank Note issue, several other better, some faults, many Fine-Very Fine, a diverse and interesting group
P.S.A.G. Certified Balance. 61 stamps mostly with P.S.A.G. certificates, from Scott 29 thru 423, most note faults such as regummed or reperfed or creases, many appear Fine-Very Fine
Collection Balance, 1850s-1930s. On album pages, 19th Century mostly used, with some 1857 Issue stamps with P.F. certificates, many well-centered, a few high value stamps such as a $2.00 Trans-Mississippi, useful unused Washington-Franklins and later 20th Century, a few with certificates, many chosen for their eye-appeal, a large number Very Fine-Extremely Fine or appear so
Blocks Collection. Two 3-ring binders of unused blocks of four, including Nos. 548-550, 614-621, 658-665, 667-679, 1053, Air Post including C1-C3 (center line blocks), C4-C6, C18, also few booklet panes such as C10a, some stamps Mint N.H., centering on some are far better than normally seen and we would not be surprised if several yield high-grade singles, a Very Fine-Extremely Fine group
Balance, 19th Century. Lindner album pages of unused stamps, including Nos. 219-226, 220a, 230-239, 246-250, 253-255, 257, 264-275, 281, 283, 285-290, several Mint N.H. or at least appear to be, rich colors, very few with small faults, Fine-Very Fine and attractive
Accumulation, Balance of Estate. Three boxes with a few dozen binders and some loose, much is of modern nature, with several binders of singles and plate blocks adding up to a fair amount of face value, we noticed a Recalled Legends of the West sheet, also earlier mostly used stamps, some in quantities, and a modest amount of worldwide, mixed condition
Balance of Estate. Box filled with stock books, albums and some loose, much is modern, with stock books of mint singles, also some used high-dollar values, some premium (such as a Recalled Legends of the West sheet) and some earlier, much is Fine-Very Fine
Certified Group. Five stamps, Nos. 31, 67, 68, 119, and 190, latter unused, others used, all well-centered, each with certificate calling faults or reperfing, Very Fine appearance, Scott Value $2,900
Arrow Block Group. From No. 314 to 611, some in complete positional sets, including two sets of No. 371, much of the value in the imperforate Washington-Franklins, slight duplication, some Mint N.H., most Very Fine
Centerline Block Unused Group. From No. 314 to 771, with two sets of Nos. 343-347, 1909 Commemoratives, and Imperforate Washington-Franklins, particularly from the Offset Issue, most are hinged, Very Fine

Three items previously offered as single lots in our sales, with sound certificates but also with more recent certificate noting an issue, including No. 306 with 2010 P.F. certificate as Mint N.H. and graded 95XQ and 2023 P.S.E. certificate as XF 95 but regummed, second is 4c Trans-Mississippi (287) with 2010 P.S.E. and 2011 P.F. certificates as Mint N.H. and graded XF-Superb 95 and with 2023 P.S.E. certificate as previously hinged and ungraded, third is No. Q2 with 2007 P.S.E. certificate as Mint N.H. graded XF-Superb 95 Jumbo and 2023 P.S.E. certificate noting a light vertical crease at right, Extremely Fine group
Small Extensions Balance. Two stamps with recent problem certificates, first 6c Carmine, H. Grill (137), cork cancel, appears Extremely Fine, with clear 2002 P.F. certificate, with 2023 P.S.E. certificate stating reperfed at top, second $1.00 Violet Brown (423), original gum, h.r., appears Very Fine, with 2023 P.S.E. certificate reperfed at right
Modern Postage Lot. Mostly plate blocks, plate strips, and zip blocks, some sheets, starts with 3c Commemoratives, but most of the value in 20c and up, we did notice some dollar value and up, including Express Mail stamps, most (if not all) Mint N.H., Fine-Very Fine, previous appraiser came up with a face value in excess of $2,700
Mint Postage and Balance. Accumulation of 1930s/80s plate blocks, some mint sheets, small groups of Canada and other foreign material, precancels, and a three-volume Scott International collection, owner's face value $4,500+
Modern Balance. Album pages of modern stamps, including some $1 and $2 face, forever stamps, some souvenir sheets, Fine-Very Fine
Collection, 1977-2022. Collection of beautifully mounted Scott National album pages which originally filled five albums, appears to be complete for singles, coils including pairs where pages provide for them, souvenir sheets, also Hunting Permits, Very Fine and choice, an outstanding opportunity to acquire a wonderful collection of these modern issues
Accumulation. Three large cartons containing an array of material, chiefly early to mid 20th century with some exceptions for earlier, items range from slightly better including No. 1 on cover, No. 73 block of four, No. 290 block of four, No. 568 plate block, also includes Air Post stock books from 1926 thru 2012, a selection of Duck stamps, several binders of commemorative items and a few folders of face value postage, overall Fine to Very Fine, inspection recommended
Reference and Working Collection From the Champagne Stock. Several hundred stock cards with a combination of faulty material, some fakes and items collected and retained by Mr. Champagne as reference, including shades, coils, private vending perforations, Washington-Franklin types, and more, as well as items which Mr. Champagne indicated should be resubmitted for new certificates but never actually did so, amongst the latter category is a huge amount of catalogue value which, although faulty, is nevertheless desirable, we note (in no particular order) 293 original gum with thin called on certificate, 87 unused with small stain, 1a used, J21 original gum, 22 and 23 used, 120 and 121 unused, and 121 used, a fascinating group which would benefit the burgeoning expert or reseller alike, close inspection is all but required to fully appreciate the usefulness of this lot
