Classic Balance 1845-69. Valuable balance of more than 50 stamps on a stock page, mostly used with a few unused, the cheapest stamps have been left out and many better Scott numbers are present, including Nos. 9X1a, 10X1, 1, 7 (appears unused), 8A, 12, 13, 16, 18 (appears to be original gum), 20-23, 27-28, 29 (appears unused), 31, 34, 38-39 (unused), 56, 62B, 64, 67, 95, 99-101, 112-122 Pictorials complete, others, faults are present essentially throughout or more of these stamps would have been individual lots, overall Fine appearance with many better Scott numbers, even the most conservative assumptions on the unused (counting some as used) results in a Scott value in excess of $30,000

1867-68 Better Grills (79/85E). Six stamps, including Nos. 79, 83, 85, 85B, 85C and 85E, each with a handstamp cancel including 85E in blue and 85C star, generally with margins to touching or in on a side, a few small flaws but nothing very significant for these scarcer and difficult issues, only the 12c Z Grill with a more serious fault (sealed tear), Fine appearance, all but the last with a P.F. or A.P.S. certificate, Nos. 83 and 85B both have P.F. certificates not noting any faults

Back-of-Book Balance. Unused stamps, mostly or nearly all original gum, hinged on Scott National album pages, includes Air Post C1-C6 and most later issues (no Graf Zeppelins), the real strength is in Postage Dues which are mostly complete, missing only the Special Printings and a few other high value stamps, Offices in China complete, Officials represented by unused Department of Interior (no other departments), Parcel Post complete, Hunting Permits complete to 1999, condition is nice throughout with just a few typical flaws to be found, overall Very Fine though there will be no Mint N.H. since everything is hinged to the pages, see our website PDF for highlights of the collection

Two Lighthouse hingeless albums with booklet panes, unexploded booklets, Hunting Permits and a few transportation coils, strength is in booklets with a nice study showing different slogans for the same issue, Hunting Permits largely complete except for RW1 and RW5, few are original gum, most Mint N.H., also some Postage Dues, overall Very Fine
