3c Orange Brown (10). Original gum, lightly hinged, large margins to clear, radiant color and detailed impressionVERY FINE AND CHOICE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1851 3-CENT ORANGE BROWN.
This stamp is normally found with narrow margins, which are cutting or at least touched in places. The example offered here, with four clear to large margins, fresh original gum and bright color, is a condition rarity.
3c Brownish Carmine (11 var). Block of four, Plate 6 or 7, huge margins to barely in incl. wide sheet margin at bottom, tied by unusual circular corks, "Marquoketa Iowa Feb. 5" circular datestamp on rebacked cover front only to Washington D.C.VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A STUNNING USAGE WITH A SHEET MARGIN BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 3-CENT 1851 ISSUE.

5c Red Brown (12). Large margins to clear of projection at right, original gum, lightly hinged, bright color and detailed impressionVERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE SOUND ORIGINAL-GUM AND FOUR-MARGINED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1856 ISSUE.
Sound, original-gum examples of the 5c 1856 Issue are extremely rare, and probably fewer than six exist with margins around the entire design.

5c Red Brown (12). Large even margins, unusually bright color, neat strike of "Paid" cancelEXTREMELY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1856 ISSUE WITH A "PAID" CANCEL.
Most 5c 1856 stamps were cancelled in New Orleans. Colored cancels or straightline markings such as this "Paid" are rare.

5c Red Brown (12). Used with 10c Green, Ty. III (15) and 3c Dull Red (11), three 3c singles, margins to in, tied by "New Orleans La. May 19, 1857" circular datestamps on blue folded letter to Copenhagen, Denmark, magenta "24" credit, red boxed "P.D." handstamp, New York and Hamburg backstamps, presumably an additional 3c stamp is missing which made up the 27c rate via French Mails, still appears Fine, rare usage, one of only two recorded usages of the 5c 1856 issue to Denmark, the other cover pays the 35c rate via Prussian Closed Mail, unpublished Census No. 12-COV-335, ex Hugh J.
