VERY FINE AND CHOICE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT BLACK JACK RE-ISSUE.
Only 979 sold. With 2002 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, VF 80).
3c Brown Red, Re-Issue (104). Unused (no gum), detailed impression, Fine—according to certificate grade, but this is really Very Fine—only 465 sold, with 2002 and 2023 P.F. certificates (F 70)
5c Brown, Re-Issue (105). Unused (no gum), pretty shade, unusually wide and balanced margins
EXTREMELY FINE GEM UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE. A STAMP WITH GREAT VISUAL APPEAL.
The 5c Re-Issue was printed from a new plate of 100 subjects, compared to the original plate of 200 in two panes. The Re-Issue plate can be identified by a notch at bottom. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). Only 672 of the 5c were sold; the remaining 9,328 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
Ex "Adventurer". With 1992 P.F. and 2010 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95). SCV $1,150.
10c Green, Re-Issue (106). Unused (no gum), deep rich color on bright paper, wide margins, Extremely Fine, only 451 sold, with 2021 P.F. certificate
12c Black, Re-Issue (107). Unused (no gum), intense shade and impression, wide margins
EXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL WIDE-MARGINED 12-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE.
The 12c Re-Issue was printed from a new plate of 100 subjects, compared to the original plate of 200 in two panes. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). Only 389 of the 12c were sold; the remaining 9,611 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
With 2002 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90). With 1986 and 2023 P.F. certificates (VF-XF 85). SCV $1,750.
15c Black, Re-Issue (108). Original gum, intense shade and detailed impression on bright paper, well-balanced margins
VERY FINE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 15-CENT 1866 RE-ISSUE.
The 15c Re-Issue was printed from the original plate of 200 subjects. 10,000 stamps were printed (50 impressions). Only 397 of the 15c were sold; the remaining 9,603 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
With 1996 and 2022 P.F. certificates.
24c Deep Violet, Re-Issue (109). Unused (no gum), deep rich color and detailed impression
VERY FINE AND CHOICE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 24-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE.
The 24c Re-Issue was printed from the original plate of 200 subjects. A total of 10,000 were printed (50 impressions). Only 346 of the 24c were sold; the remaining 9,654 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
