3c Brown Rose, First Design (56). Mint N.H., rich color, Very Fine, with 2015 P.F. and 2021 P.S.E. certificates, Scott value as hinged
10c Dark Green, First Design (62B). Original gum, rich color, reperfed at top and left, diagonal crease at bottom left, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce issue which is difficult to obtain in original-gum condition, with 1958 and 2018 P.F. certificates, the former not noting any faults
10c Dark Green, First Design (62B). Unused (no gum), intense shade and impression, single short perf at top not mentioned on accompanying certificate, otherwise Fine, a scarce stamp unused, ex Drews, with 1993 P.S.E. certificate
10c Dark Green, First Design (62B). Unmistakable deep color of the First Design, parts of two strikes of "Paid" in grid cancel and small part of red transit datestamp, fresh and Fine, with 1989 P.F. certificate
1c Blue (63). Deep rich color on crisp paper, wide and balanced margins, light strike of circle of V's cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, ex Merlin, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $625.00), despite the abundance of used copies of Scott 63, it is very difficult to find in the higher grades either used or unused, only five used examples have graded higher than 95 (highest is 98)
1c Dark Blue (63b). Intense color, P.S.E. certificate states Dark Blue (63b) and P.F. certificate calls it Deep Blue (but still 63b), nicely complemented by red New York City carrier circular datestamp, well-balanced margins, Extremely Fine, with 2017 P.S.E. (ungraded) and 2020 P.F. certificates (XF 90)
3c Pink (64). Original gum, beautifully centered with wide and balanced margins, bright shade, light toning on perfs and within design mostly affects back, vertical creaseEXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. THE 3-CENT 1861 PINK IS EXTREMELY RARE WITH ORIGINAL GUM.
Most original-gum examples of the 3c 1861 Pink have vertical creasing and slightly brownish gum. However, very few have the centering and bright fresh color of this example.

3c Pink (64). Choice centering with beautifully balanced margins, bright color, neat "Salina N.Y. Jan. 20" circular datestamp cancelEXTREMELY FINE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1861 ISSUE IN THE PINK SHADE.
Ex Kirke and Morton. With 2000 P.F. certificate as on cover to Troy N.Y. (cover accompanies). With 2003 and 2005 P.F. certificates as off-cover (XF 90).
3c Pink (64). Vivid color, well-centered, lightly struck grid cancel, Very Fine, with 2021 P.F. certificate
3c Rose (65). Fresh color and attractive centering, beautifully struck bright red New York City negative five-point star within star fancy cancel, Extremely Fine strike on a fresh stamp, gorgeous, ex Haas
3c Rose (65). Deep shade, perfectly struck green "Paid" cancel, Extremely Fine strike, with 2021 P.F. certificate
3c Rose (65). Two with fancy cancels, one a Pumpkin Head, other Skull of Cambridge, Mass. (Skinner-Eno PH-M32), clear strikes, Very Fine, each with 2019 P.F. certificate
3c Lake (66). Original gum which is slightly disturbed at top, unmistakable Lake shade, a few clipped perfs at top, still Fine, ex Frelinghuysen, with 2012 and 2022 P.F. certificates not mentioning any gum disturbance

3c Lake, Trial Color Plate Proof on Gummed Stamp Paper, Imperforate (66TC6a, formerly 66a). Original gum, large top right corner margins, intense color, faults including small hole in right stamp, sealed tear in left stamp and creases, otherwise Extremely Fine, with 1991 P.F. certificate
5c Buff (67). Large part original gum which covers most of the back, h.r., bright Buff color, a short perf at top left and at bottom right, small corner crease at top left, certificate also mentions light soiling which is not evident to usFINE APPEARANCE. A SCARCE EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 5-CENT BUFF WITH LARGE PART ORIGINAL GUM.

5c Brown Yellow (67a). Choice centering, bright shade beautifully contrasted by red New York circular datestamp cancel.EXTREMELY FINE. A GORGEOUS USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 5-CENT BROWN YELLOW, CANCELLED IN RED.
Ex Myerson. With 2018 P.F. certificate (XF 90)
5c Buff (67). Pretty shade, neat strike of grid cancel, light corner crease at top left, Very Fine appearance, with 1981 P.F. certificate as Brown Yellow (67a)
10c Green (68). Original gum, rich color, unusually choice centeringEXTREMELY FINE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1861 ISSUE.
As a point of reference, the highest grade awarded to an original gum example by P.SE. is two at 98 (we have never offered them) followed by two at 85. With 1977 P.F. certificate
24c Brown Lilac (70a). Disturbed original gum, some slightly toned perfs and probably reperfed at bottom, otherwise Fine
24c Steel Blue (70b). Choice centering and margins, intense color and impression nicely contrasted by red grid cancel, Extremely Fine, a lovely stamp, ex Myerson, with 2004 and 2021 P.F. certificates
24c Violet, Thin Paper (70c). Slightly disturbed original gum, choice centering, toningEXTREMELY FINE APPEARING AND RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 24-CENT VIOLET.

30c Orange (71). Original gum, unpunched perf at left, diagonal crease at top right, otherwise Very Fine, with 1983 P.F. certificate
30c Orange (71). Unused (no gum), bright color, certificate notes "lightly soiled" which is evident in some spots, otherwise Extremely Fine, with 2022 P.F. certificate (VF-XF 85)
3c Scarlet (74). Unused (no gum), radiant color, small repair at right, Very Fine appearance, ex Curtis and Lesnik, with 1986 P.F. certificate, Scott value as with gum
15c Black (77). Original gum, intense shade, three balanced margins with perfs touching at bottomVERY FINE FOR THIS. A SCARCE SOUND ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1866 15-CENT LINCOLN.

24c Lilac (78). With right selvage, original gum, bright color, few small toned spots mostly on back not noted on certificate, otherwise Fine, with 2020 P.S.E. certificate
24c Lilac (78). Large part original gum, attractive centering and margins, small extraneous red ink spots at the back of Washington's head, appears Very Fine, with 2019 P.S.E. certificate
