Mobile Ala., 2c Black (58X1). Large margins to just in at bottom right, tied by "Mobile Ala. Sep. 1" double-circle datestamp on small piece, fresh and Fine, with 2001 P.S.E. certificate
5c Green, Stone 1-2 (1). Large margins all around, rich color, unobtrusive circular datestamp cancel, Extremely Fine, with 1991 P.F. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $600.00 as normal shade)
10c Dark Blue, Hoyer & Ludwig (2b). Original gum, small h.r., large margins all around, rich color, Extremely Fine, with 1991 P.F. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (OGh, XF-Superb 95; SMQ $850.00 as basic shade)
10c Light Blue, Paterson (2). Large even margins, bright pastel color, target cancel, Extremely Fine, a pretty stamp
10c Greenish Blue, Stone Y (2e). Horizontal strip of four, large margins to just in at left, brilliant color, neat manuscript "#" cancels, creases in three left stamps and thin spot affecting second stamp from right, Very Fine-Extremely Fine appearance, the right stamp is particularly choice, ex Weill Brothers' Stock, Scott value as singles
2c Green (3). Mint N.H., full margins all around, radiant colorFRESH AND VERY FINE MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES 2-CENT JACKSON LITHOGRAPHED ISSUE.

2c Green (3). Original gum, lightly hinged, large margins, bright shade, fresh and Extremely Fine Gem, with 1987 P.F. (for block) and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, XF-Superb 95; SMQ $2,400.00)
5c Dark Blue, Stone 3 (4a). Most recent certificate states Mint N.H. but we are not so sure, large margins all around, rich color, Extremely Fine, with 1991 P.F. certificate stating previously hinged, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $900.00 as Mint N.H.), offered and Scott value as hinged
10c Rose (5). Large even margins, brilliant color, light strike of circular datestamp cancel, Extremely Fine, with 1983 P.F. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $1,150.00)
10c Blue, "TEN" (9). Original gum, no apparent hinging but with small pencil notation on gum, bright color, large margins, light horizontal crease at top, appears Extremely Fine, offered and Scott valued as hinged

10c Blue, Frameline (10). Large margins showing full framelines at bottom and left, virtually full at top and approximately half at right, bright shade, blue Raleigh N.C. double-circle datestampEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL USED EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT FRAMELINE ISSUE.
The defining characteristic of Scott 10 is the frameline between the stamps. The lines were engraved on the plate and served as a guide for the siderographer when aligning the transfers to make the plate. Each stamp shares framelines with the adjoining positions, so four-frameline copies are exceedingly rare.

1c Orange (14). Mint N.H., huge margins including top left corner sheet margin, vibrant color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $975.00)
Confederate States Graded Balance. Five unused stamps, including Mint N.H. Nos. 6 (90), 8 (80, natural gum wrinkle), 12 (95) and 13 (90), last is No. 11b graded 95 with no gum, Extremely Fine group, each with 2004 P.S.E. certificate, total SMQ $426.00
