Tied by purple oval "Posted in the Free Philippines Mindanao Guerilla Area, M.D. No. 10, 25 DEC 1943" datestamp and used on 2c Entire, with 2c Red, to Insular Treasurer of the Philippines in Washington, matching "Tenth Military Dist., Free Philippines, Censored" oval handstamp, Esperanza Dec. 25, 1942 circular duplex tied the 2c stamp, "By Officer Courrier"' handstamp and "Confidential" handstamp on reverse

VERY FINE. A RARE USE OF THE 2-CENTAVO GUERRILLA POSTAL SERVICE ISSUE ON COVER.

During World War II, this stamp was issued for use on the island of Mindanao. Only 500 stamps were printed. 36 covers are known, but many are unaddressed. With 2006 P.F. certificate

Censored (on reverse) handstamps, stamp with trivial light gum spots, Very Fine, this stamp was issued for use on the island of Mindanao, with only 500 printed and a mere 36 covers recorded

U.S. Possessions Collection. Mounted in a Scott album and on stock pages, wide range of nearly all unused stamps covering most of the Possessions, plenty of lower values but also a number of better stamps including Canal Zone Nos. 94-95, J1-J3 (latter Scott Retail $1,000.00) and J20c, Guam Nos. 11-12 and E1, Hawaii Nos. 46 (Mint N.H.), 52C and 69, Philippines Nos. 223, 237 and J7, others, nice condition nearly throughout, several certificates accompany, Scott Retail just for the better stamps mentioned plus a dozen others not mentioned is more than $5,000.00
