Pair, used with a total of 25 other Hawaiian stamps between Scott Nos. 57 and 77, some in multiples, affixed to front and flaps of registered turned cover to Paris, France, purple target cancels tie stamps, "Honolulu Hawaii May 23, 1894" double-circle datestamp and matching registry handstamps, New York registry label, second use from France to Berne, Switzerland and franked with France Nos. 100 and 101 (pair), one French stamp corner fault, refolded for display, some wear and flaws as would be expected on such a cover but the appearance is Very Fine, a colorful and spectacular registered turned use, ex Pietsch, with 1976 P.F. certificate

According to www.hawaiianstamps.com, the 2c 1894 Pictorial was printed and perforated in sheets of 200, arranged in four panes of 50. One sheet escaped the horizontal perforating pins but only one pane of 50 from this sheet was issued.
