Five covers, No. 304 horizontal pair, tied by "Kodiak, Alaska Aug. 27, 1908" duplex on legal-size registered cover to Seattle Wash., penalty envelope from Department of Commerce and Labor's Coast and Geodetic Survey, slightly reduced at right, some age spots, Very Fine, scarce use, No. 319 tied by "Unalakleet, Alaska Jul. 4, 1912" circular datestamp to St. Michael Alaska; another with same stamp tied by "Saint Michael, Alaska Mar. 15, 1910" duplex and used locally; also 1c 1895 Issue used on postcard used in 1909 from St. Michael to Cal., last item is not Alaska, but No. 319 on red and blue The Hearst League of New York illustrated cover with slogan in banner reading "There is no Christianizing influence equal to good wages for honest work", couple small flaws but overall Fine-Very Fine group

Two covers, first "St. Marks Fla., Dec. 31st" manuscript postmark with matching "10" rate on 1849 folded letter to Petersville Conn., vertical file fold, some edge tears and edgewear, still Very Fine, scarce, also "New Orleans Febr. 17, 1810" dateline on folded letter to Secretary of the Navy in Washington, purple "PHI 14 MY" circular datestamp with matching "Free" handstamp, minor wear, Very Fine, carried outside of the mails to Philadelphia, during this time maritime frictions with England had become acute, setting the stage for the War of 1812
