1904, 2c Rose (1 var). Block of four, Positions 64-65/74-75, variety with both "Panama" at right reading downwards on each stamp, bright color, attractive centering, Very Fine, with 2006 P.F. certificate, Scott Retail as block with no premium for the varieties
1904, 2c Rose, "L" of "Canal" Sideways (10b). Position 68, h.r., intense color in an especially deep shade, well-centeredVERY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1904 2-CENT "CANAL ZONE" OVERPRINT WITH THE "L" OF "CANAL" SIDEWAYS. ONE OF THE MOST UNUSUAL OF ALL CANAL ZONE ERRORS.
According to Canal Zone Stamps, this is the only example of a Canal Zone overprint where a letter is turned sideways. The authorities noticed the error, and went to the trouble of removing and destroying the one stamp from each pane. 920 were destroyed -- 17 unused and four used are recorded. This is the second we have offered since keeping computerized records.
1905, 2c Rose, "Panama" Ovpt. Inverted, Bar at Bottom (11b). Vertical pair, top stamp lightly hinged, bottom stamp Mint N.H., bright color, Fine, only 200 printed, Scott Retail as two hinged singles
1904, 5c Blue, "Canal Zone" Double Ovpt., 5th Printing (12c, CZSG 12c.Fa). Second overprint a little lighter as is always the case on the 5th Printing Double Overprint, also shows One "Panama" (CZSG 12.24) due to horizontal shift, lightly cancelled by part of circular datestamp and bars, Fine, a rare combination of varieties
1909, 2c Vermilion & Black, Ovpt. Reading Up, Vertical Pair, Imperforate Horizontally (32a). Large part original gum, intense color, especially wide margin at top, Very Fine, only 20 pairs were produced
1909, 2c Vermilion & Black, Ovpt. Reading Up, Booklet Pane of Six, Handmade, Perf Margins (32c). Unexploded booklet of four panes, with booklet cover of the 1c value (CZSG 32c.6), the panes have some gum disturbance, but are not stuck to the interleaving (as is the case on all other examples we have seen)VERY FINE. A RARE BOOKLET CONTAINING 2-CENT STAMPS BUT WITH A COVER DENOTING ONE-CENT STAMPS. ONLY SIX SUCH BOOKLETS WITH THE WRONG COVER ARE RECORDED.
Apparently a small number of the 1c booklet covers were printed in the salmon color intended for the 2c (instead of the usual lemon color). The postal employees preparing booklet identified the covers only by the color, and a few of these 1c error covers were filled with 2c stamps.
1913, 1c Green & Black, Vertical Pair, One Without Ovpt. (38a). Selvage at top, h.r., including one reinforcing perfs between top stamp and selvage, same centering as all other examples, Fine, a rarely offered error, as only ten were produced (one pane had overprint shifted down)
1912, 2c Vermilion & Black, Horizontal Pair, Left Stamp Without Ovpt. (39b). Block of 20 comprising the bottom two rows of the sheet with selvage on all three sides, left two stamps missing the overprint, right selvage with part of "Canal" overprint, tropicalized original gum, rich color, fgew natural gum creases do not affect either errorVERY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL PLATE POSITION MULTIPLE CONTAINING TWO OF THE TEN POSSIBLE ERROR STAMPS.
Only one sheet exists with the printing shifted to the right, creating ten stamps with the overprint omitted in the lefthand column of the sheet. The multiple offered here is especially desirable because it shows part of the shifted overprint in the selvage at right.

1918, 2c Vermilion & Black, Horizontal Pair, Right Stamp Without Ovpt. (53b). Tropicalized original gum, h.r., with bottom selvage, bright colorFINE-VERY FINE. AN OUTSTANDING QUALITY SHEET-MARGIN PAIR OF THE 1918 2-CENT MISSING OVERPRINT ERROR.
This error was caused when one sheet was misfed into the printing press, and the right vertical row of ten did not receive the overprint. Two additional copies are known caused by a foldover.

1921, 1c Light Green & Black, Horizontal Pair, Right Stamp Without Ovpt. (55b). Selvage at right, lightly hinged, rich color, Fine, only one sheet containing ten error pairs was discovered, with 2015 P.F. certificate

The Double "Canal" error was created when a second overprint was made along the righthand vertical row. The "Canal" portion of the second overprint is on the stamp, while the "Zone" portion is on the selvage. This is especially desirable with the selvage showing the "Zone" and it is unique with the light green and black plate numbers at top.
