1c-90c Officials, Atlanta Trial Color Proofs on Card (O1TC5-O67TC5, O72TC5-O93TC5). 431 proofs, nearly complete for all colors and denominations less the rare dollar-value State Dept., missing only the 15c Agriculture Green, 30c Justice Green, 30c Treasury Green, 30c Treasury Scarlet and 30c War Brown, bright colors, full to wide marginsVERY FINE AND RARE GROUP OF THE "CENTS" VALUE OFFICIAL ATLANTA TRIAL COLOR PROOFS.
The Atlanta trial color plate proofs on card were prepared for display at the 1881 International Cotton Exposition in Atlanta. Only one sheet in each color was printed. This set could easily be completed by locating the few missing values

$2.00 State (O68). Unused (no gum), margins clear of design all around, reperfed on two sides, looks Very Fine
$5.00 State (O69). Slightly disturbed original gum, exceptional depth of color, well-centered, perf tip at top extendedVERY FINE APPEARING ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE $5.00 STATE DEPARTMENT.
With 1996 P.F. certificate stating "previously hinged" and not mentioning the perf tip enhancement

1c-90c Justice, Specimen Ovpt. (O25S-O34S). Complete set, without gum as issued, bright colors, only one side of 12c with shortened perfs from scissors-trimming, a few flaws including 30c reperfedFINE COMPLETE SET OF THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL PRINTING.
Sold quantities of the 3c to 90c Justice Department Special Printing range from 150 to 178. Complete sets are scarce.
1c-90c Post Office, Specimen Ovpt. (O47S-O56S). Complete set, without gum as issued, just a few minor perf flaws but without the scissors-separated trimmed perfs often foundFINE AND RARE COMPLETE SET OF THE POST OFFICE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL PRINTING.
Only 81 of the 30c Post Office Special Printing were sold, which gives the Post Office set third-place ranking in rarity among the 1c to 90c Official Special Printings.
1c-90c State, Specimen Ovpt. (O57S-O67S). Complete for the "Cents" values, without gum as issued, bright colors, a couple with minor short perfsFINE SET OF THE ONE-CENT TO 90-CENT STATE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL PRINTING.
