The UPSS Catalog records 5-6 mint entires of U190b. This is only the second example we have offered since keeping computerized records nearly 30 years ago.

VERY AND RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1876 90-CENT CARMINE ON CREAM ENTIRE CENTENNIAL SPECIAL PRINTING — PARTICULARLY ELUSIVE IN THE SIZE 25 ENVELOPE.
The regular issue Die 70 indicia has a colorless dot below the Perry bust. The Centennial Special Printing entires were embossed with a new die and lack the dot. They were very carefully produced and the intense shades and extremely detailed impressions are hallmarks of the Special Printings. The UPSS Catalog states that the size 25 Centennial Special Printings are particularly rare in comparison to the other sizes (Nos. 596, 603a, 609, 618 and 636 offered here).
2c Red on Amber entire, Die 76 (U241; UPSS 743). Size 10, knife 54, watermark 6, unused, with printed return request and illustrated Grand Lodge of Iowa shield fraternal design, slight trace of toning at right, minor natural inclusion, and minor flap separations at ends, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce entire, the UPSS Catalog reports 10 unused entires, eight of which have a corner card and printed commercial address and two of which have the fraternal corner card and are unaddressed, this unaddressed entire is the more desirable to the unused collector as it is closer to mint state

2c Green on Manila, Die 87, Cut Square (U309; UPSS 921). 36 x 38mm, rich color, neat circle of V's cancel and part of circular datestamp at left, Very Fine and choice, scarce, an excellent alternative to the unused cut square, which catalogues $10,000.00

Unused, 42 x 42mm, rich colors, Very Fine and rare full corner, the Type 7 surcharge was a handstamp applied at Daytona, Florida, on envelopes that had been sent to Jacksonville for revaluing and were either poorly done or skipped, some examples (such as this one) show clear partial Type 4 overprints, it is reported that only 29 were surcharged, signed Bartels and with 2000 P.F. certificate
