Imprint and plate no. strips of three collection, 1c complete less plate no. 795, nearly all in matched bottom and left positions, 2c complete for all 36 plates and all in matched bottom and left positions, 2-1/2c apparently complete (35 different) less only two numbers, virtually all in matched bottom and left positions, 3c-10c complete for all numbers and are all in appropriate matched sets from two sides as known, Postage Dues seven different incl. matched sets, presumably all original gum in some form, occasional flaws, overall virtually all Very Fine, impressive collecting achievement

Placetas" double oval with "No. 29 Cuba" in center, typical blurry strike which seems to be the case with all of these types of oval cancels, couple minor cover edge toning spots, otherwise Very Fine, possibly unique use

HAWAII, 1857, 5c on 13c Dark Red (7). Type I (Clark) numeral surcharge with long flag, unused (no gum), full margins to just touched, faint horizontal crease at topFINE APPEARING UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1857 5-CENT ON 13-CENT PROVISIONAL SURCHARGE.
The 5c provisional surcharge was necessary due to a shortage of 5c stamps just after the transition from Postmaster Whitney to Jackson. Most were made by Jackson's clerk, Alvah Clark, around the start of 1857. New supplies of the 5c stamp (Scott No. 8) were received at the end of June 1857.
With 2013 P.F. certificate.

Hawaii Collection. Well over 100 items, incl. Nos. 8-10, nine Numerals, virtually complete Bank Note Issues, complete Official set, some Cut Squares, six different Specimen or Reprints, eleven different used or unused Revenues, three unauthorized bisects tied on small pieces, few Overprint varieties, a few large multiples, No. 33 and two No. 35 covers and what appears to be a genuine 27TC3 rebacked and with faults, lastly a remarkable accumulation of approximately 80 forgeries ranging from the crude to somewhat deceiving, majority are 1c, 2c and 5c Numerals, additionally there are the 1886 $2.00 and $5.00 Kamehameha designs in large die proofs and sets of unused (fine perf) and used (larger perf), regular stamps virtually all unused and nearly all original gum, slightly mixed condition, otherwise Fine-Very Fine, fascinating lot and should prove to have significant interest for the Hawaii specialist
