Newark N.J., Apr. 13, 1867" circular datestamp, light creases and some minor soiling are not very obviousEXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. THIS 1866 QUARTER-BARREL FIRST ISSUE BEER STAMP ON SILK PAPER IS REPORTEDLY UNIQUE. ONE OF THE GREAT RARITIES OF THE ISSUE.
This stamp, with easily discernible silk paper, large margins, a clear handstamp cancel and no obvious flaws, is one of the great rarities of the First Issue Beers.
