6c Red Orange, Bluish (362). Block of four, lightly hinged, brilliant color on nicely blued paper, well-proportioned margins throughoutVERY FINE-EXTREMELY FINE. A SUPERB BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 1909 6-CENT ON BLUISH PAPER, WITH UNUSUALLY CHOICE CENTERING.

A RARE AND DESIRABLE PLATE BLOCK OF THE 6-CENT 1909 BLUISH PAPER ISSUE -- APPROXIMATELY A DOZEN ARE KNOWN. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE FROM THE TOP PLATE POSITION.
Lewis Kaufman records 14 6c Bluish Paper plate blocks, including five top, eight left and one right position. In addition to the plate blocks, one pane of 100 is also known with plate blocks at left and bottom, and a second pane (4936 UR) was reported by Boggs to be in the Post Office Department files

6c Red Orange, Bluish (362). Brilliant color on deeply blued paper, full to wide margins and choice centering, bold strike of oval grid from duplex datestamp and cancel, partly reperforated at rightVERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1909 6-CENT ON BLUISH PAPER.

A few of the stamps have cancellations of questionable status, leaving perhaps four with indisputably genuine cancels, including this example with a duplex oval grid.
