First thru Third Federal Issues Embossed Revenues, Collection. Extensive collection of more than 80 embossed revenue documents, many on typed exhibit pages, plenty in the $60.00 and below Scott Retail range but also a number over $200.00, First Federal Issue with approximately 35 items, better include RM86 (two), RM117, RM228 and RM230 used together on one document, RM241 on a promissory note for "the hire of a Negro man (slave), Peter, to be returned at harvest next, clothed as usual", Second Federal Issue with approximately 20 documents including one with the Counter stamp only on a letter that went through the mails, also RM267c, War of 1812 Third Federal Issue with more than 22 items including RM278a struck twice, RM285b (Scott Retail $550.00) and RM286a, also a few State issues, many though not all of the strikes are bold and clear, some typical paper flaws to be expected, overall a Fine-Very Fine and desirable collection, Scott Retail more than $4,500.00
