Pacific Mail Steamship Company Cancels on Revenue Stamps. Attractively mounted collection containing a wonderful study of these cancels, starts with some collateral items such as stereoscopic photo of the P.M.S.S. Japan in dry dock in San Francisco, including First Issue perforated 2c (mostly R15c) showing 19 different ship straightlines, more First Issue such as Ocean Queen, Rising Star, Sonora, Golden Age, Hermann, Japan, Montana, Henry Chauncey, Alaska, Ariel and others, also seven Second Issue showing cancels from Sacramento, St. Louis and Great Republic, some with double strikes or more including R82c with three strikes from Rising Star and four strikes from Alaska, five used on Third Issue stamps including all with multiple strikes and one struck by both Alaska and Montana, some faults, overall Very Fine strikes, this is an extremely rare group, we are offering this collection intact as this will give collectors an opportunity to acquire an advanced collection of these issues which can be difficult if not impossible to find
Revenues, 19th Century Collection. First issue contains imperforate, part-perforate, and perforated stamps, latter goes to the $500.00, Second Issue to $50.00, Third Issue complete, Proprietary stamps include a $50.00. and a few others, mixed condition, Fine-Very Fine appearance
Revenues, 20th Century Collection. Virtually all of the value is in Proprietary "Reds" and Documentary "Greens", some other issues, well-filled, a mix of handstamp, manuscript, cut, and perf initial cancels, most with Fine-Very Fine appearance
Revenues Collection. Multiple volumes containing a wide range of Revenues, including Scott-listed such as Beer and Match and Medicine, two stockbooks full of what must have been duplicates from a substantial collection, some First Issue on documents, also including Tax Paids such as wholesale and retail liquor dealer, Peddler, Manufactured Tobacco, Cigarettes, Oleomargarine, Snuff, Cigars, few state stamps, tobacco labels, mixed condition, some Fine-Very Fine, a diverse group

Two volumes, one with few multiples and few documents, other volume is a cancellation study with many precancels, includes RB29 block of four with Antikamnia Chemical Co. precancel and original gum, pages generally arranged alphabetically by cancel, few documents, some faults to be expected, overall Fine-Very Fine collection assembled by a real specialist
