Vertical strip of three, top stamp light diagonal creases, bottom pair natural internal creases, (in our opinion these are just natural gum wrinkles or creases), Fine appearance for this very scarce perforation error, with 1970 and 2009 P.F. certificates, Scott Retail as one and one-half pairs
9c Salmon Red (432). Mint N.H., brilliant color on post-office fresh paper, beautiful centeringEXTREMELY FINE GEM MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF SCOTT 432, WHICH HAS BEEN GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
With 1992 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $2,050.00). Only one has graded higher to date (at 98J) and only two others share this grade.
12c Deep Claret Brown (435). Mint N.H., intense shade on bright paper, well-proportioned margins, Extremely Fine example of this sub-shade, light pencil notation on gum not noted on accompanying certificates, ex Scarsdale, with 1999 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $1,650.00)
20c Ultramarine (438). Mint N.H., lovely balanced margins with very petty pastel color, Extremely Fine Gem, very difficult to locate in this pristine post-office fresh condition, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $2,500.00)
50c Violet (440). Mint N.H., lovely color on bright white paper, unusually choice centering with wide and balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A GORGEOUS MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 50-CENT FRANKLIN, SCOTT 440.

Small h.r., mathematically perfect centering with beautiful wide margins, rich color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1999 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates (OGh, Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98, $800.00 as 98), this is the only single and one of only two examples of No. 445 in any format to have achieved this exalted grade

2c Red, Ty. I, Coil (449). Joint line pair, brilliant color, well-proportioned margins for this difficult issueFINE-VERY FINE. A REMARKABLY FRESH ORIGINAL-GUM JOINT LINE PAIR OF THE 2-CENT VERTICAL COIL, SCOTT 449.
The 2c Type I rotary plate was used very briefly to make vertical coils issued in late 1915. It was briefly used because the Type I plate was not very deeply engraved and the curvature of the rotary press yielded impressions lacking in some of the details. The Bureau noticed this immediately, and quickly replaced it with the Type III plate (according to Scott, the EDU for No. 449 is Oct. 29, 1915 and the EDU for Type III is Dec. 21, 1915).

2c Red, Ty. I, Coil (449). Perfectly centered, brilliant color, neatly cancelledEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS IS EASILY ONE OF THE FINEST USED SINGLES OF THE 2-CENT VERTICAL COIL, SCOTT 449, IN EXISTENCE. THIS STAMP HAS BEEN GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
With 1981 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $3,700.00). This is the highest grade awarded to date and only one other has achieved this grade.
2c Red, Ty. I, Coil (449). Brilliant color, neat wavy-line machine cancel, well-balanced margins, fresh and Extremely Fine, in our opinion Scott 449 is undervalued in used condition, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $960.00)
2c Carmine, Ty. III, Coil (450). Mint N.H. joint line pair, bright color, Fine-Very Fine, with 2004 P.F. certificate
2c Red, Ty. II, Coil (454). Mint N.H. pair, pretty shade, perfectly centered, fresh and Extremely Fine, a gorgeous Mint N.H. pair, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $1,900.00), only three pairs have graded higher to date
