1c-10c 1916-22 Coils (486-490, 492-497). Mint N.H. pairs, brilliant colors, better centering than usually found offered as a set, fresh and Extremely Fine, No. 490 light pencil notation on gum
4c Orange Brown, Coil (495). Mint N.H. pair, pretty shade, perfectly centered, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2007 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $380.00), only two have graded higher to date
1c Green, 6c Orange, Double Impression (498d, 506 var.). Blocks of four, 1c with left selvage, these varieties are similar to the 2c block as illustrated on page 69 of the Scott U.S. Specialized, both second impressions overlap and the 1c juts into the selvage whereas the 6c overlaps to the right, Very Fine, striking and interesting pair of error blocks
1c Green, A.E.F. Booklet Pane (498f). Rich color, gum ranges from few with no gum to disturbed original gum, small rust spots at staple holes, otherwise Fine-Very Fine
3c Dark Violet, Ty. II, Perf 10 at Bottom (502e). Transitional perfs, first four at bottom left measuring perf 11, remainder measuring perf 10, deep rich color, bold "Caldwell New Jersey" precancel, some slight creasingVERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1918 3-CENT DARK VIOLET WITH GAUGUE 10 PERFORATIONS AT BOTTOM. WE RECORD ONLY SEVEN IN OUR UNPUBLISHED CENSUS.

5c Blue (504). Mint N.H., deep rich color on bright paper, perfectly centered with Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect, with 2001 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98, SMQ $510.00 as 98), only one other shares this grade and only one has graded higher to date
5c Rose, Error (505). Single error in block of nine, natural s.e. at top, error Mint N.H., two 2c stamps at top h.r., radiant color, light natural gum bend, Fine, with 1989 P.F. certificate mistakenly identifying this as No. 467
6c Red Orange (506). Mint N.H., vibrant color, perfectly centered with wide margins, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect, with 2007 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $1,000.00), only two have graded higher to date (at 98J)
7c Black (507). Mint N.H., intense shade and proof-like impression on bright paper, Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine Gem, a gorgeous stamp, with 2006 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $385.00 as 95, $1,300.00 as 98), only six have graded higher to date

8c Olive Bister (508). Mint N.H., pretty pastel shade, gorgeous centering with Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine Gem, a huge stamp, with 2006 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $190.00 as 95, $620.00 as 98)
12c Brown Carmine (512a). Mint N.H., radiant color in this distinct shade, perfectly centered with wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1990 and 2001 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $560.00), only three have graded higher to date
12c Claret Brown, Perf 10 at Bottom (512b). Deep rich color, neat "Reading PA" precancel, typical centering for this difficult issue, few light wrinkles and creasesFINE APPEARANCE AND RARE. FEWER THAN TEN EXAMPLES OF THE 12-CENT PERF 10 AT TOP OR BOTTOM ARE KNOWN TO US. ONE OF THE RAREST OF THE PERF 10 ON ONE SIDE VARIETIES.
As an indication of rarity, we have only offered three others since 2001. This example is a new find.

13c Apple Green (513). Mint N.H. wide top plate no. 9148 block of six, choice margins and wonderfully well-centered, fresh and crisp with vivid color, Extremely Fine, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate
20c Light Ultramarine, Perf 10 at Top (515d). Transitional perfs at top,, four at top left perf 11, others perf 10, choice centering for this difficult issue with wide and balanced margins, smeared ink cancelEXTREMELY FINE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE SOUND EXAMPLE OF THE 20-CENT PERF 10 AT TOP OR BOTTOM. THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL PERF 10 ON ONE SIDE VARIETIES.
