5c-25c 1875 Reprints (PR5-PR7). Without gum as issued, panes of ten from the top half of the sheet, imprint and plate nos. 38, 39, and 40 respectively, remarkably fresh, 25c with a few perf separations at topVERY FINE. A SHOWPIECE SET OF PANES OF TEN OF THE 1875 NEWSPAPER REPRINTS.

$9.00 Yellow, 1875 Issue (PR27). Slightly disturbed original gum described on accompanying certificate as original gum, vivid color, Fine and scarce, this is one of the most difficult issues to obtain, many have similar centering and gum, with 2021 P.S.E. certificate
1c-$60.00 1879-83 Newspaper Issue, Colman Special Printing (PR57 var-PR79 var, PR81 var). Privately perforated and gummed, complete set of all 25 denominations, including the unissued 9c, lightly hinged or Mint N.H., 48c small corner creaseFINE-VERY FINE. A RARE COMPLETE SET OF THE 1894 COLMAN SPECIAL PRINTING OF THE 1879-83 NEWSPAPER ISSUE.
In 1894 this set was ordered by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing from the American Bank Note Co. to serve as samples. The stamps were printed from the original Continental Bank Note Co. plates. Washington D.C. stamp dealer Hamilton F. Colman obtained a set of imperforate panes of 50. He kept five sets imperforate and privately perforated the other 45. Colman was later indicted for illegal possession of these stamps, but was acquitted.
