(1c) Dull Blue, Franklin Carrier (LO1). Large to ample margins all around with part of frameline of adjoining stamp at upper right, rich color and proof-like impression, light red datestamp which most likely is New York City, small tears and corner creases, tiny thin specks
EXTREMELY FINE APPEARING EXAMPLE OF THE RARE FRANKLIN CARRIER ISSUE CANCELLED BY A RED CIRCULAR DATESTAMP.
Philadelphia did not use a red circular datestamp to cancel the Franklin Carrier stamp. The only red circular datestamps used on the Franklin Carrier were the "New York" in dateless circle and New Orleans.
