Valuable Collection Balance, 1845-1935. Substantial balance of an advanced collection on album pages, 19th Century has some used but the majority are unused — even representing many Scott numbers more typically found used, the better Scott numbers are too numerous to list them all, but just to name some highlights, for the used stamps we note Nos. 1-2, 12, 13, 21, 27-28, 31, 34, 67, 79, 83, 84, 85, 100-101, 122, 144 (two) and others, the unused are vastly more numerous and include Nos. 10X1-10X2, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 23, 29, 30, 30A, 36-39, 40, 56, wide range of 1861 issue, Grills including No. 85B, nearly all the E and F grills up to 15c, 1869 Pictorials Nos. 112-117, 119-121, extensive Bank Notes to 90c including unused No. 139 (P.F. certificate), Columbians and Trans-Mississippi complete to all dollar values (except missing $1.00 Trans-Mississippi), 1894-98 Bureaus complete to $5.00 (watermarks unverified), 1902 issue complete to $5.00 and pair No. 315, Washington-Franklins are equally extensive including coils (some better Scott numbers without certificates), sheet stamps to $5.00, No. 467 in a block of nine, later issues, very mixed condition with faults and or gum issues to be expected, especially in the 19th Century and some stamps may be cleaned, still there is loads of value here even accounting for the problems, a number of certificates accompany, we recommend viewing on our website video.

Collection, 1847-1970. Extensive mostly used collection in two Harris Liberty albums, many better Scott numbers present, the following highlights are used unless otherwise noted, including Nos. 1-2, 10A, 12, 20, 28, 68-72, good showing of 1867-68 Grills including Nos. 79, 85B, 95-101 and others, 112-121, range of Bank Notes, Columbian complete including $1.00-$5.00, 1894-98 Bureaus complete including certified Nos. 263 and 278, Trans-Mississippi complete including $1.00-$2.00, 1902 to $5.00, Washington-Franklins include some unused such as certified No. 519 (appears Mint N.H. but with pencil on gum), later issues pick up with unused including White Plains sheet, second volume has Back-of-Book including C13-C15, Confederate States general issues complete except missing No. 10, also group of C.S.A. forgeries multiples, mixed condition but overall a worthwhile collection

Collection, 1851-1926. Used stamps on quadrille pages in Elbe album, including Nos. 12, 15, 17, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30A (2), 37, 67-69, 71-73, 75-78, 95, 100, 112-122, 230-245, 277-278, 292-293 (two each), 300-313, also few loose covers such as a patriotic, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine, a marvelous old-time collection
Unused Collection, 1851-1940. Single Heirloom album of mostly unused stamps, a smattering of 1851-57 issues and picks up speed with 1861-68 including Nos. 68-71, 73, 78, Grills including No. 95, 1869 Pictorials 1c-10c, 24c and 30c plus couple used, range of Bank Notes, Columbians to 30c, Trans-Mississippi to 10c plus a $2.00, other early commemoratives complete, 1902 issue to 50c, solid showing of Washington-Franklins including dollar values, Air Post C1-C6 and others, back pocket has some additional material including few booklet panes, mixed condition especially on the early issues with no gum, regummed, a few cleaned cancels and a couple of proofs substituting for stamps, still a worthwhile collection, several certificates accompany, see our website video highlights up to 1930

Scott album pages of unused and used stamps, including unused 10X1 and 10X2, used 9X1a, 1 (7), 8A, 10A, 12, 13-15, 17, nice group of 3c including 11 with plate no. 4 sheet margin, 18, 21, 27, 28, 29, 30A, 31-34, 37, 38, some multiples such as unused 26 block of nine, used 28 vertical pair, some covers, few fancy cancels generally not genuine, mixed condition, some Fine-Very Fine, a comprehensive collection which has a very high catalogue value, few with certificates
Collection, 1861-69. Scott album pages with a wide array of unused and used stamps, including unused 65, used including 62B, 68, 69, 70, 70b (3), 71 (Hiogo cancel), 72, 75, 76, 77, group of six of No. 67 in varying shades, several pages with different shades and different cancels including a group of patent-like cancels, grilled issue strong with several better and values to 90c, strong group of 1869 Pictorials with used from 112-122, many 3c with shades and various cancels, few covers such as pair of 113 to France, 119 to France, duplication of many better Scott numbers, wide range of cancels, some are obvious fakes such as Waterbury elephant and others, mixed condition, some Fine, some with certificates, a comprehensive group worth close inspection
Collection, 19th Century. Lighthouse album pages of mostly used stamps, each page artfully created by a knowledgeable collector, including Nos. 1 (9 used plus one cover), 2, 12 (5), 17 (3), several pages of shades or cancels of the 3c 1851, 27 (2), 28, 29 (2), 30A, 37 (2), 38 (3), 67 (2), 70b, 71 (2), 72, 75 (2), few Patriotics including one with 1861 3c Rose Pink, few other covers such as two of No. 69 used with No. 68 to Italy, 112-117, 119-122, nice group of Bank Notes, several pages devoted to different cancels such as Stars and Geometrics, also some C.S.A., page of Sanitary Fair, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine, an attractive collection offered intact, we strongly suggest viewing the website PDF
19th Century Collection, 1847-88. Mix of used and unused stamps on Lindner clear stock pages, solid range of issues with numerous better Scott numbers, used includes Nos. 1, 12, 17, 17 pair, 27 (two), 31, 70b, 75 pair, 78, 95, 98, 99, 116, 117 (two), 144 and other Bank Notes, unused includes Nos. 18, 30A, 36-37, 63, 68-69, 71, 73, 76, 90, 98, 127 and a range of Bank Notes to 90c, condition is mixed and generally if the unused stamps have gum it is because they are regummed, overall Fine appearance and high catalogue value
Collection, 19th & 20th Century. Lighthouse album pages containing a wide range of unused, used and covers, including used Nos. 241-243, 277-278, 285-293 with additional 292, E1-E7, C13-C15, some Possessions, Newspapers and Periodicals, nice group of Revenues with Private Die Match and Medicine, among the unused is 630, C1-C6, covers include some Spanish-American War, C13, C14, C18, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine, a diverse collection that was assembled by a knowledgeable collector
Collection, 1893-1908. Scott album pages of unused and used stamps, including unused set of Columbians to $5.00, full set of Trans-Mississippi, also used set of Columbians and Trans-Mississippi, nice little study of plate positions and cancels on 2c Columbian, some blocks such as unused blocks of four of 2c-8c Columbians and 8c Trans-Mississippi, few covers, also 1894-98 Bureau issue is well represented with unused 262 and 263 (faults), used 278, unused 300-311, used 312 and 313, 315 pair (crease), various shades of 2c Shield, blocks of four 323-327 and 329-330, most high denomination stamps regummed, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine, a diverse group
Collection, 20th Century. Two volumes of unused and used stamps, including unused Nos. 323-330, 369, 397-400, 467 single in block of six, 505 single error in block of 15 (error thinned), K1-K18, also some blocks such as 400 block of four, two used blocks of six of 1c Kansas City Roulette, nice group of coils including some with older certificates such as unused 350 pair, 355 line pair, 387 line pair, 413 line pair, 447 line pair, 456 pair, 459 pair, used includes 350 pair, 385 line pair, 446 line pair and 454 joint line strip of four, also nice group of unused and used Washington-Franklins, some Mint N.H., first volume is from 1908-1921, second volume contains mostly unused coils from later issues with much duplication, some faults and inevitably some reference items among the coils, still generally a Fine-Very Fine and worthwhile collection
20th Century Collection. Single Lindner album with original gum stamps, starts with complete Pan-American issue with two sets plus extra 10c, Louisiana Purchase and Jamestown complete, solid range of Washington-Franklins including 50c-$5.00 values, coils including some perf 12 that are genuine and 15c Bluish paper No. 366, 1922 Issue complete to $5.00, White Plains sheet, Kansas-Nebraska set, early Air Post, also a few sheets, some of the earlier issues will see hinging but plenty of Mint N.H., overall a fresh collection worth review
Collection Balance. Three volumes with stock pages of unused and used stamps, including used Nos. 91, 98, 117-121, unused Nos. 69, 113, 117, 235, 235a, 285 (NH90), 323-327, 328-330, 398 (NH95), 403 (NH75), C1 (NH90), C6 (OG98), E10, E11 (NH90), E11c, some blocks such as 573 block of four and 1053 plate block, several other better, generally selected by the owner for superior condition, many Mint N.H., overall a Very Fine-Extremely Fine collection, few with certificates
Balance, 1845-1860. Home made album pages of unused and used stamps, including used Nos. 9X1 (2 including a pair), group of Providence reprint singles, also genuine 10X1 and 10X2, 12 (2), 13 (2), 14, 15, 17 (2 singles and pair), 18, 20, 23, 27, 28, 29 (single and strip of three), 30 (3), 30A (3), 31, 36, 37 (2), 38 (3), unused including Nos. 14, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 30A, 32, 37, 39, blocks such as unused 26 (3), mixed condition, some Fine, several with certificates
Better Balance. Approximately 130 items each on separate stock card and clearly identified, mostly used but a nice group of unused, all appear to be in better condition than normally seen, including unused 328, 329, 517 and some later issues, used Nos. 24, 35 (2), 68, 71, 78b, 116, 165, R151a, few better cancels such as large Star on No. 157, few small faults will inevitably be found but we would not be surprised if many would grade highly, overall Very Fine-Extremely Fine
Commemoratives Balance. Home made album pages of mostly unused singles and blocks plus a few collateral items and covers, including 1892 and 1893 Columbian Expo half dollar silver coins, eight tickets to Columbian exhibition, blocks of four of 230-237 and 240 (some no gum or with gum issues), also 237 imprint and plate no. strip of four, singles of 285-291 and 293, 294-299, 323-327, 367-373, few 1c Pan-American vignette shifts, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine
Used Balance. 28 used stamps each on a separate stock card, virtually all with certificates, including Nos. 9, 20, 33, 64b, 65 with Masonic cancel, 69, 87, 93, 97, 115, 136A, 145, 284, 291, only five are 20th Century, others earlier, selected for superior centering and overall appeal, very few with small faults, overall Very Fine-Extremely Fine and desirable group
Used Balance. 16 items, 11 are graded including Nos. 7 (85, small corner crease), 425 (95), 427 (95), 439 (95), 448 pair (90), 533 (95), 618 (95), 671 (98), C4 (95), E1 (90), E6 (95), also includes pair of No. 9 on printed circular to Trieste, No. 1 on folded letter, couple not noted here with small faults, overall Very Fine-Extremely Fine, SMQ for graded portion $1,820
Classic Balance. Mostly classic issues on stock cards, including used Nos. 9 (two), 12, 15, 21, 83, 95, unused Nos. 65 (block), 95, 123, mixed condition and overall Fine appearance, the two No. 9's appear Extremely Fine
Stamps Balance, 1847-1918. Balance of approximately 25 stamps, mix of used and unused, the used stamps include three No. 1, one tied to small piece by black grid, No. 14 pair, Nos. 112, 117 and 121, three $1.00 First Bureau, unused include Nos. 63, 73, 116, 217, 312 (two), two No. 523 which look quite nice but are regummed, couple others, overall Fine group
Balance, 1894-20th Century. Home made album pages of unused and used stamps, including used Nos. 261, 261A, 263, 276, 276A, 277a, 278, unused Nos. 261, 276, 277, 310, 311, 342, 423, 460, 478, mixed condition, some Fine-Very Fine, six with certificates
Mint N.H. Balance, 1881-1907. 23 Mint N.H. stamps, including Nos. 206, 210, 231 Broken Hat, 233, 237, 266, 268, 270, 272, 285, 288, 297-298, 328, generally selected for better centering, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, most with certificates
Collection Balance. Most of the value is in approximately 100 small stock cards with single unused stamps between Nos. 314 and 687, including coils, mostly Mint N.H. including Nos. 572-573, a fresh group worth review, balance also includes a group of certified stamps with small problems, No. 303 with P.S.A.G. certificate as sound Superb 98 ogPH but with a thin spot not mentioned on certificate, couple additional stock pages of Mint N.H. 20th Century, finally a stock book of Revenues which is well filled but inexpensive
Collection Balance. Single binder with stock pages and dealer sheets, the majority of the material is multiples, including imprint and plate no. strips, blocks, plate blocks, also mix of unused and used singles and Washington-Franklin coils, numerous items with dealer prices in the low to mid hundreds of dollars, just a few highlights include blocks of Nos. 357 and 369, plate blocks of Nos. 516, 527, 525B, 550, 562, 612, 621, 648, 665, others, mixed condition on the earlier issues but overall Fine-Very Fine
Mint N.H. Balance, 20th Century. Approximately 70 Mint N.H. stamps, mostly from 20th century except for some Back-of-Book, including Nos. 338, 399, 400A, 402, 403, 457 line pair, 469, 470, 495 line pair, 578, 595, 599A, 678, C2, C5, E8, J24, J25, J32, J40, J52, RW4, RW25, few graded such as 945 (98J), 966 (100) and 1064 (100), generally Very Fine with some Extremely Fine, majority with certificates, an outstanding group
Unused Balance. Approximately 120 unused stamps, including Nos. 185 (regummed), 206, 221, 239 (2), 240, 380, 440, 454 line pair, 458 line strip of four, four 461 singles with plate numbers, several sets of 551-573, Canal Zone 91c, Philippines 224, few with faults, many appear Fine-Very Fine with a few Extremely Fine, several with certificates
20th Century Balance. Mostly Mint N.H. group of singles, blocks and plate blocks on dealer pages, a number of mid to better Scott numbers, overall fresh condition, see our website PDF for the complete group, total dealer prices sum to approximately $5,400

Two three ring binders of mostly unused stamps, including plate blocks of Nos. 620 and 621, pane of 100 of 620, position blocks of 621, also 630, 658-679, used block of 40 of 834, second binder contains a study of Nos. 408 and 409, also includes Nos. 479, 480, 540 pane of 50, 551-573, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine

Solid balance of a plate block consignment, most are from 1895 thru Washington-Franklins, plus a few later and some Back-of-Book, good showing of 1902 issue including Nos. 303, 304 (two), 305 (two), 306-307, 320b, Special Delivery including E3 which is a block of six but not a complete plate block, two No. E7, many others best viewed on our website PDF, Fine-Very Fine group
Plate Blocks Collection, 1894-1921. Valuable assemblage of original-gum plate blocks on album pages, one block as early as 1890 (No. 219) but it is not a complete plate block, strong coverage starting with No. 246 (Mint N.H.), 248, 250, 252 (SCV $2,100), good range of 1895 including Nos. 264-269, 1902 issue including Nos. 302 and 308, the rest is extensive Washington-Franklins with a number better including Nos. 334, 337, 339 and 340, 376-381, 407 (Mint N.H., SCV $2,000), 414, 416-417, 429-435 (with 435a), 473-474, 498-516 (less Nos. 500 and 505), range of Offset issues, ends with rotary issues including No. 546, mostly hinged but there is some of the Mint N.H. including some counted as hinged for our cataloguing purposes, centering is generally Fine or more of these would be individual lots, few small faults but the condition is generally good, Scott value exceeds $35,000
Commemorative Plate Blocks, 1907-66. Original-gum collection of plate blocks on album pages, starts with 1c-2c Jamestown, 1909 complete less the Bluish Lincoln, Nos. 397-398, 401, 537, 545-550, 2c Harding trio, 614-621, 647-648, good coverage through rest of 1920's thru mid-1960's, some earlier with hinging but most are Mint N.H., Fine-Very Fine
Blocks Balance. 12 blocks of four, including five Large Bank Notes, No. 326 (with plate no.), 4c, 5c, 10c, 13c and 15c 1902, couple others, original gum with a decent amount Mint N.H. after the Bank Notes, few small flaws including gum staining on a couple of the Bank Notes, overall Fine group
Multiples Balance. 46 items, including plate blocks of Nos. 345, 346, 371, 373, 537, 550, 553-556, 564, 581-583, 588 (2), 589-590, 619, 620, 701, 834, also centerline block of 834, a significant number are Mint N.H. and many have certificates, few small faults are very minor (our usual disclaimer), overall fresh and Very Fine-Extremely Fine
Imprint and Plate No. Strips. Mostly 1894-98 issues plus some Washington-Franklins and others, imprint and plate no. strips of three plus a few plate blocks, better include Nos. 253, 270, 272 and 298 (owner's notes state Mint N.H. on each of these but they are either hinged, have a gum disturbance or selvage hinging — knocking them out of Mint N.H. category), others best viewed on our website PDF, mixed condition, generally Fine
High Quality Graded Accumulation (320/1152, C9/E21). Approximately 96 P.S.E. graded stamps, all Mint N.H. and all graded between 90 and 100J, with the vast majority in the 95-98 range, Extremely Fine Gem group, total SMQ $7,835, see our website PDF for a spreadsheet of the lot
High-Grade Sets. 80 stamps all with highly graded P.S.E. certificates, sets include Nos. 740-749 all N.H. graded XF-Superb 95, Nos. 756-765 all NGAI graded Gem 100 Jumbo, Nos. 785-795 all N.H. graded XF-Superb 95, Nos. 909-921 all N.H. graded Superb 98 plus 921 var "Korpa" flaw graded NH XF-Superb 95, Extremely Fine Gems, each with 2004-2007 P.S.E. certificate, spreadsheet with SMQ catalog values available at our website
Graded Balance (230/649). 33 stamps with P.S.E. grades, approximately 20 are Mint N.H., the others hinged with a couple disturbed and one regummed, grades range mostly from 70 to 90 with the majority in the middle of that range, a few with small problems which are detailed in the linked PDF spreadsheet of the lot, overall Very Fine or appear so with some Extremely Fine, total SMQ for those that are priced is $1,740 (eight are not priced)
Mint N.H. Graded Balance. Nine items, including Nos. 535 Pair (95), 849 (98), 1058 small holes (98), 1059 (98), 1088 (98), 1248 (98), C6 (90), RW27 (90) and RW42 (85), Extremely Fine group, SMQ value
High-Quality Balance. 13 unused stamps, including Nos. 224, 233, 234, 239, 269, 299, 407, 418, 480, 523, 546, 547 and J42, Most Mint N.H. and most with certificates, selected for superior centering and overall condition, Very Fine-Extremely Fine group
Accumulation. Nine cartons containing a lifetime of accumulating, including a massive accumulation of First Day covers, few albums with modern stamps in singles and blocks, some other items purchased directly from the post office, some other areas, the bulk is made up of the First Day covers, overall Fine-Very Fine
Better Balance. Three cartons consisting of the better balance of a collection, including one file box of First Day covers with Presidentials to $5.00, also with 834 plate block on First Day, Famous Americans First Days including Bell, the majority of the bulk is albums containing a comprehensive collection of singles, blocks and souvenir sheets from mid-1960s thru 2019, the face value alone for this section is substantial, overall fresh and Very Fine
Mostly Modern Accumulation. Much of the value in panes of the early 2000s, with 37c-44c denominations, plate blocks and strips from the 1950s-1980s, a collection of singles from 1945 on, odds and ends in two stockbooks, even a Great Britain Penny Black, premium modern items such as a Recalled Legends of the West sheet, the face value should add up quickly
Extensions Balance. Three items offered as individual lots in a prior sale, including No. 239, with 1994 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates as Mint N.H., with 2025 P.F. certificate as hinged (VF 80 Jumbo), Mint N.H. No. 287 with bottom full imprint selvage, natural gum wrinkle, Very Fine, with 1993 P.F. certificate, No. 519 Mint N.H. but reperfed at top, with 2025 P.S.E. certificate, total Scott value with No. 239 as hinged
First Day and First Flight Cover Collection. A few hundred in five binders, value in 1930s and 1940s, many of which are cacheted, including a complete set of the Prexies, Air Post including No. C18, plus flight covers from the 1930s, including inbound uses from Canada and other overseas destinations, mostly Fine-Very Fine
