2c Carmine, Complete 25c Booklet With Experimental Cellophane Interleaving (BK80a). Comprising two panes of six No. 634d, BIA Cover Type IV-c.3-4, wonderfully fresh and Fine-Very Fine, this is one of 56,000 booklets made in the spring of 1928, despite a fairly substantial quantity made this is extremely rare and only the third we have encountered
2c Carmine, Ty. II (634A). Top left corner plate no. 19645 block of four, top left stamp small glazed spot, others Mint N.H., intense shade and impression, Very Fine and attractive
7c Black, Vertical Pair, Imperforate Between (639a). Mint N.H., with selvage at left, small fingerprint on gum of bottom stamp, Very Fine, scarce, according to Gary Griffith, this variety was first reported in 1939, the postmaster in a small town near Cleveland was annoyed that several panes had some rows of perforations missing, he cut some apart by hand and then gave up, throwing them in a box which was later purchased by a stamp collector (rumored to be Karl Koslowski), it is believed that about 20 pairs and two blocks of four were purchased, it is also known with a Mobile Ala. precancel
5c Hawaii Ovpt. (648). Mint N.H. pane of 100 with plate no. 18908 at top left, rich color, fresh and mostly Very Fine, Scott Retail as singles and plate block

1c-10c Kans. Overprints (658-668). Mint N.H., bright colors, most have beautiful centering, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, an attractive set
6c Kans. Ovpt. (664). Mint N.H. with left selvage, radiant color, perfectly centered with unusually wide margins for this difficult issue, Extremely Fine Gem, a phenomenal stamp in every respect, with 2017 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $1,500.00), this is the highest grade awarded and only one other shares this desirable grade, this is also the first time we have offered this grade in one of our auctions
9c Kans. Ovpt. (667). 245 Mint N.H. stamps, including block of 96 (lacking plate block), blocks of 80, 40 and 16 plus few smaller multiples and singles, radiant color, several with far better centering than normally seen -- look at bottom left of block of 96 and same area on block of 80 -- vibrant color, few notations in selvage are meaningless, few trivial perf separations, Fine-Very Fine with several Extremely Fine Gems, from an old-time dealer's stockbook, Scott Retail as singles

7c Nebr. Ovpt. (676). Mint N.H. block of 78 with selvage on three sides, intense shade and impression, several with far better centering than normally seen (check out the 7th and 8th columns about halfway down), trivial crease in selvage at top right, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, a scarce intact large multiple with some stamps that will no doubt grade very highly, from an old-time dealer's stockbook, Scott Retail as singles
3c Presidential, Horizontal Pair, Imperforate Between (807b). Mint N.H. with top selvage, rich color, vertical crease between stamps, Very Fine and scarce, desirable with the top selvage, with 1974 P.F. certificate
3c Presidential, Booklet, Imperforate Vertically (807d). Mint N.H. block of nine, imperforate between left stamps, small staple holes from booklet at top, the variety caused by a foldover which caused vertical crease on right stampsVERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE BOOKLET PANE OF NINE STAMPS OF THE 3-CENT PRESIDENTIAL ISSUE, IMPERFORATE VERTICALLY BETWEEN TWO LEFT COLUMNS.
The right six stamps should have been the booklet pane, but due to the foldover the pane was miscut, resulting in this striking variety. The Rustad book illustrates two others (p. 52) including one with a vertical gutter.

$5.00 Presidential (834). Mint N.H. top double plate no. 22166/22169 block of four, signed in selvage by designer Victor S. McClosky and engraver of lettering and frame George L. Huber, Very Fine, unusual with the signatures, Scott Retail as normal
1-1/2c Presidential, Coil (849). Mint N.H. joint line pair, perfectly centered with wide margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2017 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ, SMQ $420.00 as 98), this is the highest grade awarded and the only example to achieve it
2-1/2c Bunker Hill, Small Holes Variety (1056 var). Mint N.H. joint line pair, neat Washington D.C. precancel showing gap on the joint line, bright color, choice centeringEXTREMELY FINE. A RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED JOINT LINE PAIR OF THE 2-1/2 CENT BUNKER HILL WITH SMALL HOLES.
Scott Catalogue notes this is only known with Bureau precancel. This is the first genuine joint line pair we have offered since 2002.
