20c Ultramarine (419). Mint N.H., brilliant color on bright paper, Very Fine and choice, with copy of 2012 P.S.E. certificate for block
50c Violet (422). Top imprint, plate no. 5749 and "A" block of six with wide selvage, four stamps Mint N.H., bottom center and top left stamps lightly hinged, rich color on bright paper, few perf separations sensibly reinforced in selvage at topFINE-EXTREMELY FINE. A SCARCE TOP POSITION PLATE BLOCK OF THE 50-CENT PERF 12 DOUBLE-LINE WATERMARK ISSUE. THE TOP CENTER STAMP IS TRULY SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT.
We have offered only two other top position plate blocks of Scott 422 since keeping computerized records, both of which were also partly hinged. We have also offered two from the bottom position, with narrow selvage.
