A STUNNING COMPLETE SET OF THE COLUMBIAN ISSUE ON INDIA, EACH WITH A SHEET MARGIN AT LEFT. THIS IS ONE OF THE FINEST SETS WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.
Based on our experience, we believe Columbian plate proofs on India are extremely scarce and undervalued. The set offered here, on original cards and thus free from the small flaws that can plague this fragile paper, is truly remarkable.

Even though 85 albums were produced this particular set is difficult to find -- the last we offered was in 1996.
1c-$2.00 Trans-Mississippi, Bi-Color Essays on India (285E-293E). Die sunk on approximately 152 x 118mm cards with full die sinkage, deep rich colors, 5c overall foxingVERY FINE SET OF THE TRANS-MISSISSIPPI BI-COLOR ESSAYS.
Of the 166 sets printed in these colors, many were hybrids. Ex Lake Shore
1c-10c Pan-American, Roosevelt Small Die Proofs (294P2-299P2). Each on original gray card backing, rich colors, fresh and Very Fine set, only 85 were produced

C4-C6 vertical strips of three tied on original ledger sheet piece by red "Posted Et Telegraphes/Madagascar" in double-circle with "Collection De Berne" in center and three No. C10's on piece tied by edges of the same marking, latter incl.
