Three photo essays, first two 97 x 60mm, one with very different design than the issued stamp and one with same design but different caption at bottom, third measures 83 x 55mm and depicts the issued design of the stamp, last with light creases, also accompanied by a block of four of the C45 stamp and collateral material including 1948 Smithsonian dedication ceremony folder and a letter from Friendship International Airport Maryland Committee, Very Fine and interesting group

Complete left pane of 50 with imprint and plate no 73 at top and bottom, deep rich color, some creasing along edges of plate impression far from designs, including one slightly broken at bottom right, light vertical crease touches top right proofVERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE COMPLETE PANE OF 50 OF THE 1888 SPECIAL DELIVERY ISSUE PLATE PROOF ON CARD.
This is the first example of a complete pane of the 1888 Special Delivery plate proof on card to appear in Power Search since our 1982 Rarities sale. Scott Catalogue lists but does not price a plate block of this proof. Scott value as blocks of four and singles is $1,800.00, which does not remotely capture the rarity of this complete pane

1c Black on White Wove, Franklin W. Brooks, New York, Liberty Paid Reply Card Essay (UY1E-KA). Liberty head essay, 30 x 37mm in negative, fresh and Very Fine, UPSS catalog states three known, this essay was created in part using the National Bank Note Co. vignette of Liberty from the first postal card issue of 1873, this essay then formed the basis for the extensive Brooks second design essay cards that follow, it was with these that he waged his main campaign to persuade Congress to accept his patent, ex "Georgian", UPSS Essay and Proof catalogue value
