10¢ Black, Double Transfer Type B (2-B), Position 31R, showing dramatic double transfer in "Post Office", "U.S." and top right frameline, strong impression allowing the doubling to be seen without the aid of magnification, large margins including left sheet margin, full at bottom, tied by red circular grid cancel with matching "St. Louis Mo. 10 Jun. 4" (1851) integral-rate circular datestamp on blue folded letter to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Extremely Fine, an outstanding combination of sheet margin and double transfer on a 10¢ 1847 stamp, ex Newbury, Grunin, Garrett and Boker, illustrated in Brookman (Volume 1, p. 52), see lot 153 for another exampe of this double transfer
