Magnificent color on bright white paper, Jumbo margins which are balanced all around, bold cross cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a striking stamp, ex Kirke, with 2011 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $160.00), this is the highest grade awarded and no other examples have achieved this grade

Original gum, lightly hinged, gorgeous Jumbo margins and almost perfect centering, deep rich color, "extended" perf at bottom, still Extremely Fine, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (OGph, XF 90 Jumbo; SMQ $825.00), no doubt would have graded higher had the original perf been intact, despite this and, according to the P.S.E. Population Report, this is the only one to have been awarded this grade with none higher

Tied by segmented cork cancel with "San Francisco Feb 1?" circular datestamp on "Official Business., U.S. Surveyor-General's Office" imprint legal-size cover to Milton Cal, stamp with small faults and reattached with hinge, cover being tastefully restored especially along edges and backflap reattached, still Fine and presentable, this example is unrecorded in the Campbell census (Chronicle 188, November 2000) which records eight covers (one of which is cut down significantly)
