4c Brown (303). Mint N.H. top imprint and plate no. 1479 block of six with wide selvage, intense shade and impression, well-balanced margins, Very Fine and choice, this is the only Mint N.H. top position plate block we have offered since at least 1993 and we have offered only three from other positions (two bottom, one side)

50c Orange (310). Bottom imprint and plate no. 1602 block of six, lightly hinged with few small glazing specks, bright colorFRESH AND FINE-VERY FINE. AN EXCEEDINGLY SCARCE PLATE BLOCK AND RARELY FOUND IN THIS CHOICE CONDITION.
We have offered only four other plate blocks of Scott 310 since 2000. None was offered in our sales of the "MLG" or "Saddleback" collections.

50c Violet (341). Bottom imprint and plate no. 4956 block of six with full selvage, bottom right stamp Mint N.H., pretty shade on bright paper, choice centeringEXTREMELY FINE. A PHENOMENAL PLATE BLOCK OF THE 50-CENT 1909 DOUBLE-LINE WATERMARKED WASHINGTON ISSUE.
Scott 341 was produced from only one plate, number 4956, which had plate number blocks at top and bottom. Lewis Kaufman records only six full top and four bottom plate blocks available to collectors. There is another top position in the Miller collection owned by The New York Public Library. This has the widest selvage of any of the bottom plate blocks we have encountered.

Lewis Kaufman records about a dozen plate blocks, including four from the top, seven from the left and one from the right position. A pane of 100 is also known with plate blocks at left and bottom.
15c Pale Ultramarine, Bluish (366). Block of four with part imprint and plate no. 4949 selvage at right, top left stamp Mint N.H., bottom pair also Mint N.H. but both with tiny disturbance (as stated on accompanying certificate), top right stamp hinged, beautiful color on deeply blued paper, well-centered throughoutVERY FINE AND CHOICE BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 15-CENT ON BLUISH PAPER WITH PLATE NUMBER AND PART IMPRINT.

Most plate blocks of this issue tend to have mixed centering. The example offered here is centered better than most.

Scott 423 was printed from a single plate, which had plate numbers at top and bottom. This is one of the rarest of the Washington-Franklin Issue plate blocks. Lewis Kaufman records nine top and two bottom plate blocks. This is the first we have offered since 2015.
