5c Dull Blue, 1875 Reprint (PR5). Block of four with bottom right corner selvage, without gum as issued, well-centered and fresh, Very Fine
96c Pale Rose, 1875 Issue (PR23 var). Unused (no gum), beautifully centered with Jumbo margins, pretty pale shade on fresh white paperEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 96-CENT CONTINENTAL PRINTING IN THE PALE ROSE SUB-SHADE WITH OUTSTANDING CENTERING, COLOR, IMPRESSION AND PAPER. SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT.
We have offered only two examples of PR23 with original gum in the last 25 years. We have offered two others without gum since 2004. This is the only example in the Pale Rose shade we have offered since keeping computerized records. This is by far the best centered and the largest of any PR23 in any shade we have offered.

$60.00 Violet, 1875 Issue (PR32). Full original gum, bright color, fresh and Very Fine, an extremely difficult issue to obtain in sound original-gum condition, with 1999 P.F. certificate
24c Pale Rose, 1875 Special Printing (PR41). Without gum as issued, brilliant color, wide margins, Very Fine, only 411 sold, with 1988 P.F. certificate
2c-$60.00, 1879 and 1885 Newspaper Issues (PR57/PR89). Complete set of each denomination from 1c thru $60.00, mostly the 1879 Issue but we note the 12c and 36c-96c appear to be Carmine and so counted as the 1885 Issue, 1c also from the 1885 Issue, original gum, h.r., nice colors and mostly clear margins, some small flaws to be expected but overall Fine or appear so, a scarce group of unused Newspaper stamps, this could have yielded several individual lots but more desirable as a set

1c-$60.00 1879-83 Newspaper Issue, Colman Special Printing (PR57 var-PR79 var, PR81 var). Privately perforated and gummed, complete set of all 25 denominations, including the unissued 9c, Mint N.H., rich colorsVERY FINE. A PHENOMENAL COMPLETE MINT NEVER-HINGED SET OF THE 1894 COLMAN SPECIAL PRINTING OF THE 1879-83 NEWSPAPER ISSUE.
In 1894 this set was ordered by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing from the American Bank Note Co. to serve as samples. The stamps were printed from the original Continental Bank Note Co. plates. Washington D.C. postal employee Hamilton F. Colman obtained a set of imperforate panes of 50. He kept five sets imperforate and privately perforated the other 45. Colman was later indicted for illegal possession of these stamps, but was acquitted.

1c Intense Black, 1894 Issue (PR90). Intense shade, bold strike of duplex cancel, sealed vertical tear at rightFINE APPEARANCE. ONE OF ONLY FOUR USED EXAMPLES OF SCOTT PR90 CERTIFIED BY THE PHILATELIC FOUNDATION.
Of the four, only one is without faults. With 2003 P.F. certificate
12c Pink, 1894 Issue (PR95). Radiant color, straight edge at bottom, neat strike of duplex cancel, small thin spot at top center, Fine appearance, exceedingly rare in used condition, perhaps a half dozen are known, with 2003 P.F. certificate, footnote in Scott Catalogue states this is valued with Fine centering and small faults

Complete set in imprint and plate no. horizontal strips of three, mix of tops and bottoms, bright colors, Fine-Very Fine, a very attractive and very displayable set, Scott only prices these in hinged condition ($2,555.00 for the set hinged), the Mint N.H. prices for singles are more than double the hinged prices so this set, if listed, might be priced at more than $5,000.00
