Sale 1111, Lot 777, Postage Due including Errors1c Carmine Rose, Pair, One Without "1 Cent" (J89b). Mint N.H. pane of 100 containing 20 error pairs, rows 2/3 with ten pairs, the "normal" stamps showing only half the denomination, the other ten pairs in rows 4/5, slight overall toning

VERY FINE APPEARING AND RARE FULL PANE CONTAINING 20 PAIRS OF THIS DESIRABLE ERROR.

It is impossible to determine the Scott No. for 1959 Issue Postage Due singles or multiples without denomination unless they are in a pair with a normal stamp, as the same plates were used to print the various denominations. For this reason, Scott lists the "denomination omitted" error under the 1c (J89a), as it is the first value known with the error. The others are listed as part of a pair with a normal stamp.

Scott Retail as 20 pairs of J89b

Sale 1111, Lot 779, Postage Due including Errors4c Carmine Rose, Triple and Double Kiss Impressions (J92 var). Mint N.H. bottom plate no. 35306 block of 20, two left stamps showing ovpt. tripled, next four stamps showing ovpt. doubled, less clear on bottom right stamp of the four, the extra ovpts. slightly smudged as they move from left to right, next six stamps with ink smearing, Very Fine, a fascinating and most unusual variety, a similar block of 20 was certified by the Philatelic Foundation as a kiss impression rather than a double impression (despite an earlier certificate for a single called "double impression" -- P.F. certificates 381541 and 278267), we assume they would say the same about this multiple
