VERY FINE APPEARING USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1863 2-CENT DARK BLUE ON BLUISH PAPER NUMERAL ISSUE, WITH A CIRCULAR DATESTAMP CANCEL.
The 2c Dark Blue on Bluish paper (Scott 17) was printed after Scott 18 and before Scott 20. It is one of the rarest of all Numeral Issues in either unused or used condition, and almost all known examples have small faults.

Plate 8-A, three unused examples of Type IX originally from the Honolulu Advertiser collection, showing three of the seven stages of the evolution of the "HA" for "HAWAIIAN" variety — one shows "HA" and "E." with period (cut in at left, tiny thin spot, ex Wilcox); one shows "HA" and "E" only (ex Atherton); the third shows the listed Scott 23a "HA" variety (brown original gum, ex Ferrary and Wilcox), each with small flaws but overall an outstanding group
VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE TRIO OF STAMPS SHOWING THE PROGRESSION OF THE "HA" VARIETY.
If the "HA...E" varieties qualify as Scott 23a, then total Scott value is $10,500.

Hawaiian Numerals Group (15/26). Unused Nos. 15, 20, 22 (two), 24, 25, 26, each identified by plate and position, one No. 22 and No. 26 with part original gum, others no gum, most with large to ample margins, a few small faults, Very Fine appearance
Hawaii Stationery Balance. Approximately 35 entires or postal cards, mix of used and unused, full range of Scott nos. from U1 thru UX8, the used include some with stamps, destinations include postal cards to Brazil and Switzerland, a few minor flaws but overall Very Fine group, Scott value approximately $5,500
