Strip of three of 1c and extra single of 10c, tied by target cancels on Sep. 9, 1899 registered 2c on 2c Green entire from the German Consulate to Frankfurt, Germany, with "Cuba. Havana" registry label (FX-HA1), sealed on back with three German Havana Consulate seals, label nicked at top left, a few small stamp flaws including strip creased from placement over edge of cover, opened for display, Very Fine appearance, a very rare example of the Cuba registry label, Scott Catalogue records only 12 examples, this is reported by Dr. Heimburger to be the earliest known use, Scott value for the label on cover
