Rich color nicely complemented by bright paper, perfectly centered with Jumbo margins all around, Extremely Fine Gem, a phenomenal stamp, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (OGph, Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98, SMQ $1,100.00 as 98), this is the highest grade awarded in any category and the only example to achieve this grade
30c Orange Red (439). Mint N.H. with bottom right corner selvage with siderographer's initials, vivid color as fresh as the day it was printed, wide margins, tiny natural gum skips at bottom not mentioned on accompanying certificatesEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A BEAUTIFUL CORNER-MARGIN EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT 1914 PERF 10 ISSUE ON WATERMARKED PAPER.

50c Violet (440). Large margins with almost perfect balanced centering, soft pastel color, accompanying certificate harshly states "slightly toned" and if it is, the toning would be confined to the gummed side where it is barely visible, otherwise Extremely Fine Gem, with 2008 P.F. certificate

2c Red, Ty. I, Coil (449). Joint line pair, slightly disturbed original gum, radiant color, unusually choice centering for this difficult issue, perforations mostly separated along the joint line and rejoinedEXTREMELY FINE CENTERING. A RARE JOINT LINE PAIR OF THE 2-CENT VERTICAL COIL, SCOTT 449.
The 2c Type I rotary plate was used very briefly to make vertical coils issued in late 1915. It was briefly used because the Type I plate was not very deeply engraved and the curvature of the rotary press yielded impressions lacking in some of the details. The Bureau noticed this immediately, and quickly replaced it with the Type III plate (according to Scott, the EDU for No. 449 is Oct. 29, 1915 and the EDU for Type III is Dec. 21, 1915).

2c Carmine Rose, Ty. I, Coil (453). Mint N.H. joint line pair, uncharacteristically well-centered, fresh and bright with deep rich colorEXTREMELY FINE. THE 2-CENT TYPE I ROTARY COIL, SCOTT 453, IS EXCEEDINGLY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THIS SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED CONDITION.
With 2007 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $2,750.00). Only two have achieved this grade and no Mint N.H. line pair has been graded higher than 90.
2c Red, Ty. II, Coil (454). Mint N.H. joint line pair, radiant color, Very Fine and choice, with 2003 P.F. certificate
3c Violet, Coil (456). Mint N.H. pair, bright shade, crisp impression on post-office fresh paper, perfectly centeredEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED PAIR OF THE 3-CENT HORIZONTAL COIL, SCOTT 456, WHICH HAS BEEN GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
With 1986 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $6,550.00). This is the highest grade awarded to date and only two other pairs share this lofty grade.
