1c Green, Boy Scout Private Coil, Perforated 14 Vertically (481 var). Rich color, large imperforate margins with significant portion of adjoining stamp at top and full at bottom, bold "New York N.Y." precancelVERY FINE WIDE-MARGINED EXAMPLE OF THE SCARCE PERF 14 "BOY SCOUT COIL".
These privately perforated coils were produced for use on mailings by the Boy Scouts of America and are only known with the New York precancel. A Power Search review found approximately half a dozen examples offered in our sales since 1999.
With 2009 P.S.E. certificate stating "private perforations of unknown origin." Unlisted in Scott
2c Carmine, Ty. II, Coil (491). Pair, right stamp Mint N.H., left stamp barely hinged at bottom left, deep rich color, even imperforate margins, incredibly freshFINE PAIR OF THE RARE 2-CENT CARMINE TYPE II ROTARY PRESS UNWATERMARKED COIL, WITH ONE STAMP MINT NEVER-HINGED.
Scott 491 was in production for only a short period of time before being replaced by the Ty. III, Scott 492. It is particularly elusive in sound Mint N.H. condition.

2c Carmine, Ty. II, Coil (491). Pair, lightly hinged, brilliant color, light gripper marks across top and couple slightly blunted perfs at upper left, appears Very Fine, with 1996 P.F. certificate
2c Carmine, Ty. III, Coil (492). Joint line pair, beautifully centered, intact perfs at sides with large portions of adjoining stamps, neat duplex cancels, Extremely Fine used joint line pair, undercatalogued in Scott and very elusive in this superior condition, with 2015 P.F. certificate (XF 90)
1c Green (498). Mint N.H., bright color, mathematically perfect centering with Jumbo margins, post-office fresh, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ as 100J, SMQ $450.00 as 100), only four others share this highest of grades
1c Green, A.E.F. Booklet Pane (498f). Lightly hinged, rich color on bright paper, wide margins, light extraneous ink at top, still Very Fine, accompanied by front and back covers from the booklet

Jumbo margins and mathematically perfect centering, beautiful bright color, light duplex cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb used Washington-Franklin stamp in the finest condition attainable, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ as 100J, SMQ $850.00 as 100), eight years after this stamp was graded it remains the only example to achieve the coveted 100J grade
5c Blue (504). Mint N.H., intense shade and impression, wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2010 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $165.00)

7c Black (507). Mint N.H., bright shade, remarkable Jumbo margins and perfect centering, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect, ex Dr. Morris, with 1993 P.F. and 2016 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $1,650.00), only one has graded higher (at 100) and this is one of only two at this grade

Apart from purchasing an entire sheet of 100, which are all but nonexistent (the last one we sold was in 1989), this is the perfect way to display the $5.00 1918 Issue -- and it fits on an album page.
