Ex Dr. Killien and Field. With 2000 P.F. and 2006 and 2022 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98). This is the highest grade the P.S.E. has awarded to a line pair of No. 348, with only two others equal.

EXTREMELY FINE. ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE 1914 2-CENT PERF 12 x 10 IN EXISTENCE. IN THE ABSENCE OF A COVER, THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED "USE" OF SCOTT 423B.

Census no. 423B-CAN-PCE-25. Ex Floyd, "Chesapeake" and "Sirron". With 1984, 2001 and 2025 P.F. certificates. The Scott Catalogue states in a footnote to this issue, "Value for used is for a sound stamp in the grade of Fine-Very Fine."

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS PHENOMENAL MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE $1.00 1917 ISSUE, SCOTT 518, HAS RECEIVED THE ULTIMATE GRADE OF GEM 100 JUMBO FROM P.S.E. THE ESSENCE OF PERFECTION.
Plate 5782 was the only plate prepared for each of the $1.00 Franklin issues (Scott 423, 460, 478 and 518). None of the other $1.00 Franklin issues has been graded above 98J in Mint N.H. condition.
Ex Field. With 2022 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in this grade in SMQ; SMQ $4,500 as 100). This is the highest grade possible and one of only three to achieve this grade.

VERY FINE. A RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED PLATE BLOCK OF SIX OF SCOTT 540a, IMPERFORATE HORIZONTALLY.
This coil waste variety is normally collected as a plate block of four, which is also how it is listed in Scott. The plate block of six is much more desirable and is quite rare. Apart from a complete pane of 170, we have offered only one other Mint N.H. plate block of this issue (a plate block of 90). Ex Field. Scott value as plate block of four and two singles.
