Mint N.H. joint line pair, brilliant color, perfectly centered with wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb joint line pair, ex Hoffman and "Hanover", with 1997 A.P.S. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $1,000.00), this is the highest grade awarded and it is shared by only two others
2c Carmine, Ty. III, Coil (488). Mint N.H. joint line pair, rich color, detailed impression, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2012 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $500.00)
3c Violet, Ty. I, Coil (489). Mint N.H. joint line pair, wide margins and precise centering, pastel color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2004 and 2006 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $475.00), this is the highest grade awarded to a joint line pair and it is shared by only five others, P.S.E. does not even price this issue at the 98 grade and we feel the price for the 95 grade does not adequately convey its rarity in this condition
1c Green, Coil (490). Mint N.H. joint line pair, perfect centering, bright fresh color on pristine paper, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2000 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $350.00), this is the highest grade awarded with only three others equal

Mint N.H. joint line pair, brilliant color, choice centering with wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, ex "Scarsdale" and "Golden Oak", with 1999 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $500.00), this is the highest grade awarded and it is shared by seven others

3c Dark Violet, Ty. II (502). Mint N.H., deep rich color on fresh paper, Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2005 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $400.00), only six have graded higher and only three others share this grade
5c Rose, Error (505). Small trace of hinging at top, brilliant color, wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, ex Merlin, with 1988 P.F. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (OG, XF-Superb 95; SMQ $575.00)

This stamp was created in 1917 when a small excess supply of the imperforate Scott 344 was returned by the New York City post office to the Bureau for credit. Rather than issue the credit, the Bureau perforated the sheets and returned them to the New York City post office for public sale.
With 2014 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $3,400.00). Only four have graded higher (all at 98) and only five others share this grade.
