1c-84c 1885 Issue (PR81-PR83, PR86-PR88). Range of cancels incl. purple target, duplex, blue brushstroke, circular datestamps, three-line handstamp, also includes No. PR20, few faults to be expected, appear Fine-Very Fine, both 60c with certificates, PR20 with 2014 P.F. (crease and backstamp shows thru) and PR86 with 2008 P.S.E. (repaired margin fault)
36c Pink, 1894 Issue (PR97). Original gum, h.r., bright color, centered to bottom and capturing part of imprint at top, small tear at right, some light creasing at bottomFINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE SECOND EXAMPLE OF THE 36-CENT 1894 UNWATERMARKED BUREAU NEWSPAPER ISSUE WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS. ONLY NINE ARE CONTAINED IN OUR RECORDS, AND NONE ARE SOUND.
Our recently updated census of PR97 (available at http://siegelauctions.com/dynamic/census/PR98/PR97.pdf ) contains nine unused examples, all with original gum. None are sound -- most have thin spots or creases. The only other example we sold was in 2014 in the George A. Schwenk Collection -- it was reperfed and had a small thin spot, and it realized $57,500 hammer.

Newspaper Stamps on Post Office Receipts. 41 stamps of the 1985-97 Issue, affixed to three Apr. 1898 post office receipts, covering nine news agents in Griffin Ga., with 29 1c Black (PR114), three 5c Black (PR116), six 19c Black (PR117), and three 25c Carmine (PR118), a few small faults, Fine appearance, also includes a Dec. 13, 1898 Post Office letter and penalty envelope to the postmaster at Griffin concerning these receipts, excellent collateral material for the Newspaper specialist, ex Warm-Griffiths
