Revenue Plate Number Collection. Approximately 300 items collected by Wallace Cleland and arranged in two three-ring binders, includes Documentary, Proprietary, Stock Transfer, Wines, Tobacco Sales Tax, Narcotic, Consular and Customs Fees, Firearms (RY1) no gum plate single, Boating Stamps (RVB1-RVB2) plate no. blocks of four and 1898 Medicine Issues, vast majority unused, incl. singles, pairs, blocks of four and larger, good variety, of note is a Trenton Match Co. (RO176d) strip of four with hand-entered bottom "Trenton Match Co. No. 238" imprint and plate no. (reverse image), generally Fine-Very Fine, good number illustrated in Durland catalogue, fascinating opportunity for the Revenue specialist to acquire some interesting and seldom-seen material

Revenue Balance. About 150 items, much from the first three issues, First Issue to $50.00 and incl. Imperforate, Part Perforate and Perforated stamps, Second Issue to $3.50, Third Issue incl. a $20.00 and a 2c with inverted center, some later high values, "Reds" and "Greens", Wine stamp and various other revenues, many in the $50.00-$300.00 catalogue value range, some small faults but condition is above the norm, with a good percentage of Very Fine appearing stamps, the lot also includes Encased Postage No. EP114 that we believe is fake (with a good P.F. certificate)
