Both the 1c and 2c Vermilion Postage Due issues, Scott J29 and J30, are extremely rare in any form of multiple. The Whitpain Collection contained a Mint N.H. plate block of six of J30 which is the only one we have offered since keeping computerized records. This Mint N.H. imprint and plate strip of three is also the only we have offered since keeping computerized records.

Mint N.H., intense color and proof-like impression, perfectly centered with balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, the production problems experienced by the Bureau in its first job for the Post Office yielded many poorly centered stamps, this stamp is a true condition rarity in the finest attainable condition, with 1982, 1997 and 2006 P.F. certificates
50c Deep Claret (J37). Original gum, lightly hinged, attractive margins and centering, strong color with proof-like impression, Very Fine, a scarce Postage Due issue and rarely found well-centered, with 1971 A.P.S. certificate

The Perf 10 Postage Due stamps were printed on unwatermarked paper for a brief time. Well-centered original-gum examples are exceedingly rare.
