2c Carmine Lake, Ty. I (249). Thin spot, fine centering, part of bold Boston Mass. Eagle and Thunderbolt machine cancel, used only for a few hours on January 2, 1895, rarely seen and one of the premier fancy cancels in late 19th and early 20th Century philately
2c Scarlet, Ty. I (250b). Mint N.H. block of four, vivid color, choice centering, bottom left stamp light corner crease, otherwise Very Fine-Extremely Fine, Scott Retail as singles
2c Carmine, Ty. II (251). Mint N.H. with wide top plate no. selvage, bright color on fresh paper, Very Fine and choice, with copy of 1992 P.F. certificate for strip
2c Carmine, Ty. II (251). Mint N.H., brilliant color, balanced margins, Very Fine and choice, a difficult stamp to find centered in Mint N.H. condition, with 2002 P.F. certificate
2c Scarlet, Ty. II (251). Block of four, original gum, bottom pair Mint N.H., top faintly hinged if at all, attractively centered with very pleasing bright pastel color, bottom left stamp natural inclusion, otherwise Very Fine block, with 2011 P.F. certificate, Scott retail as two Mint N.H. and two hinged singles
3c Purple (253). Mint N.H. block of four, bright color, balanced margins, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, Scott Retail as singles
4c Dark Brown (254). Original gum, well-centered with striking Jumbo margins, strong color and clear impression, Extremely Fine, with 2011 P.S.E. certificate (OGph, XF 90 Jumbo; SMQ $270.00 as 90, $470.00 as 95)
5c Chocolate (255). Mint N.H. block of four, deep rich color on post-office fresh paper, beautiful wide margins, single unpunched perf bottom right stamp, Extremely Fine, a premium quality block, Scott Retail as singles
6c Dull Brown (256). Mint N.H. bottom imprint and plate no. 28 block of six, rich color, tiny natural gum skip bottom left stamp and natural gum bends, some perf separations confined mostly to selvageFINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED PLATE BLOCK OF THE 6-CENT UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE. THIS IS THE FIRST WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS.
A review using Power Search revealed only one Mint N.H. multiple we have offered since 1997 and in all Rarities of the World sales, and that was a block of four. While we have offered approximately five plate blocks of six (all bottoms except one, most with margins close or touching at left), this is the first in Mint N.H. condition
8c Violet Brown (257). Mint N.H. block of four, couple light fingerprints on gum, crisp impression on bright paper, wide margins and nice centering, Very Fine and choice, Scott Retail as singles
10c Dark Green (258). Bright shade on crisp paper, unusually choice centering, long and full perforations all around, unobtrusive cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2011 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $400.00), only two have graded higher to date and none share this grade
15c Dark Blue (259). Mint N.H. bottom imprint and plate no. 52 strip of three, gorgeous deep color contrasted by bright white paper, left stamp light natural gum bendFINE-VERY FINE. THE 15-CENT UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE IS RARE IN MINT NEVER-HINGED CONDITION IN ANY OF THE IMPRINT OR PLATE NUMBER FORMATS.
A Power Search review of this issue revealed only three singles with imprint or plate number and no strips or blocks
