2c Carmine, Coil (411). Mint N.H. guide line pair, brilliant color, perfectly centered, Extremely Fine Gem, a stunning Mint N.H. guide line pair, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $900.00), only one has graded higher (at 98J) and five others share this grade

$1.00 Violet Brown (423). Intense shade and impression, beautifully balanced margins, oval registry cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2005 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $550.00)
2c Rose Red, Ty. I, Pink Back (425 var). Mint N.H., exceptional centering with Jumbo margins, vivid color with the clear aniline ink pink tinge visible on gum side, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $400.00 as normal), only three grade higher than this example and only three others share this grade, we are not sure how many of those might be "Pink Backs"
3c Deep Violet, Pink Back (426 var). Mint N.H., vivid color with clear aniline ink pinkish tinge on gum side, wide and exceptionally well-balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, ex "Clipper City", with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $950.00 as normal)

2c Pale Carmine Red, Ty. I (461). Unusually choice centering with balanced margins, brilliant color, face-free corner strike of circular datestamp, Extremely Fine, a choice and rare used example of this issue, with 2001 P.F. and 2006 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $700.00), this is the highest grade awarded by P.S.E. to a used Scott 461, with only one other equal, we feel the SMQ value for this grade is very conservative (a P.F. graded XF 90 realized $1,400 hammer in Siegel Sale 1174)
