1c Jamestown (328). Mint N.H., deep rich color, unusually choice centering for this difficult issue, crisp impressionEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE ONE-CENT JAMESTOWN IS SCARCE WITH SUCH CHOICE CENTERING.

1c Jamestown (328). Mint N.H., rich color, beautifully balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $1,000.00)
2c Jamestown (329). Mint N.H., brilliant color as fresh as the day it was printed, perfectly centered with wide and balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT JAMESTOWN, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
The Jamestown Issue is notorious for its tight spacing and narrow margins, which causes most copies to be off-center to some degree. With 2016 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $4,750.00). Only two grade higher (one each at 98J and 100) and three others share this desirable grade. This is the first in this grade we have offered since 2008.

2c Jamestown (329). Mint N.H., brilliant color on crisp paper, essentially perfectly centered with unusually wide margins for this difficult issueEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT JAMESTOWN, WITH UNUSUALLY WIDE AND BALANCED MARGINS.
Ex Hoffman and "Hanover". With 2005 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $2,300.00). only six grade higher and only two others share this grade. This particular stamp has always brought far more than SMQ (realized $3,750 in 2008 Hoffman sale and $4,000 in the 2016 "Hanover" sale). This may reflect undergrading.
