This is the first multiple larger than a pair we have offered since keeping computerized records. Only 25 pairs are reported in Datz.

Most Type VII stamps were used by private vending and affixing machine companies. However, unlike Scott 314A and 482A, a small supply of the imperforate 2c Type VII stamps reached the public. Mint N.H. multiples of this issue are very rare.

2c Carmine Rose, Ty. II, Rotary Perf 11 x 10 (539). Lightly hinged, intense color and impression, a strong Fine, with photocopy of 1989 P.S.E. certificate for a block, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate
2c Carmine Rose, Ty. III, Rotary Perf 11 x 10, Horizontal Pair, Imperforate Vertically (540b). Strip of three with normal stamp at left, wide margins at sides, typical centering with perfs in at top, deep rich color, fresh and Fine, a rare sound multiple, fewer than 25 pairs are believed to exist, this variety is vastly rarer than, and should not be confused with, the 2c Ty. III Rotary issue in a vertical pair imperforate horizontally, we believe it is undercatalogued in Scott, we have offered only a strip of three (with faults) and two pairs since keeping computerized records, ex Liberman, with 1990 P.F. certificate
1c Green, Rotary Perf 11 (544). Well-centered within unusually wide margins for this stamp, rich color, lightly cancelled, a few small facial scrapes at bottom left, Very Fine appearing example of this scarce and difficult stamp, with 1997 P.F. certificate
