Black on green horizontal safety paper, original gum, numbered 9082, minor vertical gum bends, Very Fine and extremely rare, we have not encountered another of the 1949-50 South Dakota Hunting permits (1950 offered in following lot), Scott lists this issue unused with horizontal safety paper (S.D. 1a) but does not price it, the vertical safety paper (S.D. 1) is priced at $1,750.00 unused and that issue has a lower price used versus the horizontal safety paper offered here.
